Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) of Succession has just recently taken over as CEO of Wayster Royco and, predictably, he’s high on power in season 4 episode 7.
The oldest Roy brother is contemplating his next move after bringing his father Logan (Brian Cox) back from the grave in the form of a terrifying AI presentation that strangely went down well with his investors.
Kendall is now turning against his brother after removing his sister Shiv (Sarah Snook) from the firm’s leadership and replacing her with himself and Roman (Kieran Culkin).
Shiv and Tom’s (Matthew Macfayden) turbulent relationship begins as red hot passion, excepting the presence of a fossilised scorpion, but devolves into a dramatic slinging fight on their New York balcony.
Shiv has supported another bad horse, this time Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgrd), whose firm GoJo may not be as buoyant as he claims – but why you’d want to partner with a man who gave his genuine blood to an unrequited love is beyond us.
Let’s take a look at Succession season 4 episode 7.
Shiv and Tom’s ‘hot’ sex signified by scorpion

Shiv and Tom are clearly having a good time, and if their sexting is any indication, it’s been fire between the sheets.
What better way to memorialise this renewed flame and scorching desire than, well, a scorpion?
Shiv is understandably perplexed when Tom delivers her the ‘present’ after spending the night with her.
But it definitely foreshadows what’s to come, as Shiv and Tom are both stung.
Greg gets first taste of power

Greg (Nicholaus Braun) has spent the whole of the last season scurrying around in the shadows. So not much has changed there.
But, in his first display of authority, Greg was assigned the painful chore of sacking a slew of ATN employees by Tom, who backed down.
Of course, the whole thing was embarrassing, as Greg read from a script while Tom mocked him from the sidelines. Greg, do you truly want this?
Kendall gets one over Lukas

Kendall is desperate to tank the GoJo merger and is out for blood which, ironically, Lukas would happily supply.
At drinks in honour of their late father, Kendall and Roman make moves on his publicist after becoming aware of his creepy behavior towards her.
But then they get handed the golden ticket: Lukas has exaggerated his figures and GoJo is actually a struggling business.
Kendall can’t resist making a jab at his foe about his failure in India during a heated clash in front of his guests.
Kendall – 15, Lukas – 0.
Shiv’s nightmare and balcony showdown

Shiv is pleased with her hidden alliance with Lukas, informing him that in exchange for betraying her family, she wants a’very, very, very’ large role.
But everything blows up in smoke the minute she learns about his India numbers, leaving her out in the cold once more.
Her personal life isn’t any better however, as she gets into a fight with Tom in which she blames him for stealing her father’s last six months away from her.
Meanwhile, Tom criticises Shiv for being ‘incapable of loving’ and ‘hurting me more than I can ever fathom’ before finally sinking his teeth into Shiv, telling her she is ‘not a good person to have children.’
Kendall goes in for the kill

If you give Kendall an inch, he’ll take a mile, and thus we find ourselves in this situation: he’s been given some authority, and now he wants more.
Now that the GoJo merger has fallen through, Kendall is planning to acquire Lukas’ firm instead of vice versa.
But who does he inform? Frank (Peter Friedman), not his co-CEO and brother Roman, who prefers to stay out of it.
The plotting is back, and we’re sure the outcome won’t be nice.
Succession continues on Sunday in the US on HBO and on Monday on and Now in the UK.
