Susanna Reid, the anchor of Good Morning Britain, has been coy amid speculation that she may feature in the next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2023.
While ITV has yet to announce the official lineup, Nigel Farage and Jamie Lynn Spears are believed to be joining Matt Hancock and Boy George on the show.
And now there are doubts about Susanna, 52, competing in Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s Bushtucker Trials.
Susanna was put on the position on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain during a news about Britney Spears‘ younger sister allegedly headed into the jungle.
She explained: ‘Ranvir [Singh] is convinced I’m going in, she keeps sending me texts of snakes, spiders.’
While Ed Balls claimed the Good Morning Britain crew ‘needed her’ to stay, Susanna hinted: ‘Well, can neither confirm nor deny.’
This occurred because entertainment writer Richard Arnold mistook Susanna’s new haircut for jungle preparation.
We can only wait and watch!
This year’s premiere date has been set for November 19, and anticipation about the lineup, which includes JLS member Marvin Humes and Love Island‘s Gemma Owen, is high.
The ‘first star’ has reportedly ‘touched down’ in Australia, sending the rumour mill into overdrive ahead of the ITV show’s comeback.
Olivia Attwood, a former Love Island star, has also hinted at a return after having to withdraw from last year’s series owing to medical concerns.
The 32-year-old stated her return was being explored on Loose Women.
‘We’ve had chats,’ she disclosed.
She also revealed exactly why she had to leave while speaking on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast.
‘I was in there, I was fine, and they do routine medicals every few days,’ she explained.
‘We’d had a really long day and I’m always on the lower end of blood pressure because I’m tall and slim, and they just did all these tests late one evening, and they were just like, they were worried about these tests.
‘They were like, “Everything is really low.” They took me to a private hospital and they tested me, and they were like, “We’re happy”. So we had an overnight debate because the insurers were like, “The tests dropped this low.”
‘I don’t cry, and I cried the whole way back from Australia. The whole flight.’
Hopefully, she’ll have another shot in the jungle in a few weeks!
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV on Sunday, November 19 at 9pm.
