Reece Donnelly, a candidate on the BBC show The Apprentice, was reportedly fired after consuming alcohol on a flight to Dubai.
The 25-year-old was not present for the challenge in the Middle Eastern country, where the aspiring entrepreneurs were entrusted with organising business outings for international clientele.
Reece earlier stated that he was forced to withdraw from the case and was unable to go due to health issues.
However, according to an insider, he was fired from the blockbuster reality series after ingesting alcohol against producers’ wishes, leaving them ‘unimpressed.’
‘Reece was sent home and did not film in Dubai,’ a source stated.
‘Producers were unimpressed when he had several alcoholic drinks on the flight even though he was told not to.

They continued to MailOnline: ‘Lord Sugar was obviously furious, he couldn’t believe someone would risk securing his £250,000 investment for the sake of a drink.
‘He later told the candidates in the boardroom that Reece had been eliminated from the process.’
Reece earlier stated that if he had stayed in the competition, he thought he would have lasted longer.

He explained: ‘I would have loved to be standing there shaking his hand, accepting the £250,000,’ he began.
‘I don’t know if I would have won, but I certainly don’t think I would have been going anywhere anytime soon.
‘You can only do so much in that show, and I gave it my all, so if I got sent home for giving it all, I would have been happy for that.
‘But you know, I would have loved to have stayed a little bit longer! I just wanted to make it to the interview stage so that I can tell the world about my business!’
A spokesperson for The Apprentice said: ‘Reece was unable to continue in the process, this was discussed and agreed between Reece and programme-makers.’
The Apprentice continues on Thursday on BBC One at 9pm.
