When the two teams received comments from youngsters on their lunchbox designs, The Apprentice viewers were at a loss for words.
Lord Alan Sugar assigned the remaining contenders the challenge of developing their own lunchbox brand, including everything from the name, logo, container design, and a fun healthy eating app to go along with their lunchbox.
The goal was to make the product appealing to six-to-eight-year-olds, but things didn’t go precisely as planned.
Platinum Pirate Adventures was designed by Sohail Chowdhary’s team, who used a treasure chest lunchbox, while Munch-A-Lunch was made by Marnie Swindells, who used a rapping caterpillar as the face of their brand and a leaf-shaped lunchbox.
While the contestants were all enthusiastic about their items, the actual target audience, the youngsters, were less so.
When the teams gathered input from a focus group of children, they received some extremely harsh replies, as the children did not hold back.

‘Honestly, I kind of thing that the game was worse than the raping,’ insulted one young girl after watching Larry the caterpillar rap and dance while explaining the importance of healthy eating.
‘It’s really easy to play,’ she fired.
‘I don’t mean to be rude,’ began another child, at which point, you know, something rude is coming.
‘It was really cringe,’ she blasted.
‘My favourite part was when it was over.’
Children truly are savage!

Another said the product was ‘too babyish,’ which merchants agreed with in their pitches, implying the lunchbox was better appropriate for pre-schoolers.
One small child advised that the lunchbox was more appropriate for three-to-five-year-olds, while another gently let the team down by adding, ‘I don’t believe it’s the best game.’One young boy suggested the lunchbox was more suitable for three-five-year-olds, while another did, kind of, let the team down gently by saying: ‘I don’t think it’s the best game.’
But it wasn’t only Larry the caterpillar who was ripped to bits; the other team’s pirate notion was a flop with the schoolchildren.
‘The brown is simply so dull,’ one of their treasure chest design critics stated.

To add insult to injury, when their teacher inquired if they wanted to buy the merchandise… Nobody put up their hand.
The scathing reaction from the youngsters had viewers at home in stitches, with one tweeting: ‘Love how kids are unapologetically honest – they’re nasty’.
‘The kids just obliterated them!’, exclaimed another.
‘Those kids had no chill’, one added, with another tweeting: ‘Jesus those kids are brutal. Lord Sugar is gonna be out of a job!’
Unfortunately, Sohail’s team was unable to persuade the large merchants that their product was worth investing in, resulting in zero orders.
The Apprentice continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
