Jenny Ryan of The Chase has received a deluge of responses after uploading a glam shot with a well-known drag queen.
Jenny, 41, joined the quiz show in 2015 and is known as The Vixen. She performs with other quizzers such as Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, and Anne Hegerty.
While many of her social media pictures show her on set or at pub quizzes in her spare time, a recent snapshot of her dressed up for a night out has received a lot of attention.
This week, she uploaded a selfie with drag queen Lavoix, well known for her appearance in the first season of Queen of the Universe.
‘Travelling in style with @lavoixtheshow! 😎 #SunsetBoulvevard #OutOut,’ Jenny captioned the post.
Jenny was dressed in an emerald green satin wrap dress with her red hair down in the shot as she prepared to catch a performance of Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy Theatre.
Lavoix stood next to her in a leopard print one-piece, gleefully smiling for the camera as they posed in front of a classic automobile.
Many others complimented The Chase star, with many mentioning how much they liked her dress.
‘Gorgeous dress,’ one person commented.
‘Awww beautiful photo of you both Jenny awww you look gorgeous xxxx,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘Looking gorge in that dress.’
Jenny’s team responded to a troll after some unkind comments were published on her social media in 2021.
At the time, the person had wrote: ‘You are a pompous arrogant fat ugly b***h. You are the worst chaser.’
They did, however, reply in the greatest way imaginable and shut the individual down.
‘Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Messages to this page are monitored by Jenny’s admin team,’ their response read.
‘We can pass on messages or answer questions. Thank you for your message. You seem like a decent chap which obviously gives you the right to body shame and demean women. Your loved ones must be really proud of you!’
Jenny worked as a quiz show question writer before joining The Chase, and she even wrote questions for the show.
Speaking to the Radio Times she said: ‘I actually worked on the pilot of The Chase and wrote the questions on it.’
However, she said everything she’d written had ‘long since been used’.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
