Shaun Wallace, star of The Chase, may be known as ‘The Dark Destroyer,’ but he has been trying his best to motivate his fans with a series of motivational films.
The barrister initially gained national attention in 2004 when he won Mastermind, and he later joined The Chase in 2009.
While he isn’t afraid to demonstrate his supremacy over the rivals on the quiz series, he has been providing lots of encouraging ideas with his internet fans.
Shaun, 63, has been giving guidance in recent weeks, including the day the GCSE results were revealed during the last Bank Holiday.
His fans can’t get enough of him, with many complimenting him for spreading happiness.
Last month, Shaun followed in Jeremy Clarkson’s footsteps by providing students some solace ahead of their results, although he took a somewhat different approach to imparting advise than the former Top Gear host did.
‘Results normally follow hard work. It’s not always about coming top of the class, it’s about coming “top” of your potential,’ he shared.
‘But when you work to your full potential, results often follow.
‘Speaking from experience, I failed my exams! Have a great day!’
The next day Shaun shared that he’d had another slight setback when deciding to try his hand at golf.
‘You can’t get everything in life right, first time around,’ he wrote.
He went on to say that while he was encouraged to finally give it a shot, he wasn’t as great as he would have wanted, but he took it on the chin and just claimed he’must be excellent at other stuff’.
Then, on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend, Shaun wished everyone a wonderful day, hoping that the sun would’shine on you and in your life’ and encouraging them to ‘try to spread the pleasure’.
The next day he encouraged people to ‘go and do something positive or visit that person you’ve been meaning to visit’.
‘Seize the day and make it work for you,’ he added.
Fans have expressed their appreciation for Shaun’s attitude, with one recently remarking that they ‘needed a shove’ to grab the day.
Another stated his “inspirational positive posts” were a “breath of fresh air.”
The Chase is streaming on ITVX.
