Knitting debuted as Claire Richards on The Masked Singer tonight, being the sixth celebrity to be revealed.
The famous ITV competition series has a slew of celebrities dressed up in elaborate costumes and belting out songs while judges Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan try to figure out who they are.
Knitting was eventually revealed to be Claire on the current episode of the juggernaut series, presented by Joel Dommett!
Viewers were very sure it was Cllaire after cryptic hints like ‘all the world’s a stage’ and ‘used to be in the background’ led many to suspect Knitting used to be in a band.
Other hints included the fact that they developed abilities by ‘watching and copying,’ possibly referring to Steps’ backing of Britney Spears.

Meanwhile, Davina saw a clue in the knitting needles of ‘4M’ that may represent the number of singles sold by the band, and appeared to recall Claire being on a show where she learnt to breathe fire, which could explain the ‘dragon breath’ hint.
Claire, on the other hand, stated that the four knitting needles represented Big Brother, in which she came fourth.
‘I thought you were just going to get me from day one, so when you didn’t I was so chuffed,’ she told the judges after being announced.
‘I feel like a fan who has won a competition,’ she added, joking that her son might be ‘mortified’ at the surprise.
Claire had joined in the guessing game on Twitter, playfully mocking people with her remarks.
Claire penned: ‘Still so puzzled! #knitting’ before being introduced during Knitting’s first performance. I don’t think it’s Jane Macdonald, but who? @MaskedSingerUK’.
Following the reveal, Davina commended Claire’s’stunning’ voice, while Rita said, ‘Your voice is great. And the tragedy was such a big hint.’
The Masked Singer continues next Saturday on ITV1.
