Davina McCall, a judge on The Masked Singer, has revealed a lingerie secret with a rebellious message.
The former Big Brother host, 56, joins Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, and Mo Gilligan on the panel to determine who is singing behind the extravagant costumes.
This show is usually full of drama and intrigue, but the judges are the ones who are keeping secrets.
Davina offered a strong message about covertly wearing lingerie even when she’s alone in a recent interview.
‘I never want to dress in a way people might expect me to,’ she began.
‘That’s come with midlife. I’m like, “No, I’m not going quietly.”
‘I refuse to conform to how you think I should look. I’m going to be the opposite.’
She added to The Sun that every day her lingerie is ‘on point’, saying even if she’s alone all day, she wears a matching set.
‘It’s like a private pep talk,’ she added, knowing she’d have that ‘secret’ in a meeting.
Davina, who presented Love Island‘s middle-aged spin-off My Mum Your Dad, has stated her want to feature more middle-aged ‘interesting people’ who have ‘lived a life’.
Ahead of being revealed as the show’s presenter, Davina told Steven Bartlett: ‘So I always think, just start walking in that direction, and something else will come along but never just sit down and wait. I’ve never sat down and thought, I’m just going to stay here and wait for something to happen to me.’
The TV star continued: ‘I’ve got no embarrassment or shame about emailing a TV company or head of a TV company, and going, “Have you thought about this? What about this? Can I present that if it happens? Can I do this?”
‘I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life Love Island. I could fill a villa in Love Island with the best back stories you have ever heard in your life.’
She enthusiastically added: ‘They’ve lived a life! They’re widows, they’re people who have been through horrific divorces, they’re people who have split up with somebody and decided they want to try to go out with somebody the same sex as them.
‘They’re interesting people! I’d watch that show.’
The Masked Singer begins on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1. My Mum, Your Dad is available to watch on ITVX.
