The OC’s Cooper family reunited in a sweet selfie, 15 years after the show ended.
Julie Cooper actress Melinda Clarke warmed fans’ hearts with the picture alongside her on-screen family: Tate Donovan who played Jimmy Cooper and Mischa Barton who starred as their daughter Marissa.
The mid-2000s drama centred on the life of Ryan Atwood, a teenager from the wrong side of the tracks (played by Ben McKenzie), trying to fit into the wealthy neighborhood of Orange County, California.
The series came to an end after four seasons in 2007, but clearly, the nostalgia lives on.
‘SO THIS HAPPENED! Cooper family reunion! Warmed my heart to see these two, @mischabarton and @t8dono, at @tripleellc in Charleston,’ Melinda posted on Instagram.

Tate commented: ‘So great to see you all y’all,’ while their fellow co-star Rachel Bilson, who played Summer Roberts, penned: ‘And that’s the coop scoop!!!! Love all 3 of these faces.’
Meanwhile, on Mischa’s Instagram, she posted a story featuring not only her ‘parents’, but also Gossip Girl stars Chace Crawford and Jessica Szohr.
‘Ran into Gossip Girl last night what are the chances,’ the 36-year-old wrote, adding: ‘Just kidding we were there for a reason. It was truly great to catch up with mom and dad.’
Last year, Rachel and Melinda launched their podcast Welcome to the OC, Bitches!, ahead of which they revealed who they still stay in touch with from the iconic noughties show.

Although Ben and Mischa were core characters in the programme, there was noticeably no mention of staying in touch with them at the time.
However, Melinda revealed that she is still in contact with cast members Kelly Rowan (Kirsten Cohen), Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen) and Tate.
Even though she sees Adam Brody (Seth Cohen) and Olivia Wilde (Alex Kelly) less often, she said they’re still on good terms.

‘I’ve run into Adam a few times, I ran into Olivia Wilde… I ran into – well, no, I haven’t seen Shailene Woodley [who played Kaitlin Cooper] for quite a while,’ she shared on the Zoom call with Today Extra.
‘Rachel, we ran into each other, maybe 10 years ago actually, so we are just reacquainting ourselves!’
In April last year, both Rachel and Melinda admitted they’d be open to a reboot, with Rachel sharing: ‘A reboot would be awesome. I think that’s in the hands of [creators and executive producers] Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. There’s still a ways to go, so maybe they’ll figure it out! That’d be fun.’
Melinda added: ‘Never say never!’
The O.C. is available to watch on ITV Hub.
