Get ready for some slippery soap drama! Dancing on Ice has unveiled yet another big name for its 2024 all-star lineup – none other than EastEnders hunk Ricky Norwood.
The actor, best known as the energetic Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb on the iconic BBC soap, will soon be trading Albert Square for the chilly ice rink. Ricky spilled the icy tea on today’s Loose Women, admitting he’s “apprehensive” about tricky moves like the headbanger. But we know this cool cat has all the right moves to quickstep his way into viewers’ hearts!
Ricky glides in as the 9th celebrity contestant confirmed for the reality skating competition’s next series, which kicks off early next year. He joins a star-studded cast including fellow soap queen Claire Sweeney of Brookside and Coronation Street fame.
Also strapping on their skates are Gogglebox legend and fan fave Stephen Lustig-Webb, Olympic track champ Greg Rutherford, S Club 7 songbird Hannah Spearritt, comedian Lou Sanders, boxing icon Ricky Hatton, MIC’s Miles Nazaire and Love Island beauty Amber Davies. What a lineup!
Just 3 mystery celebs remain to complete the 12-person cast. Who could they be? Our bets are on a pop star, a TV presenter and a sporting hero! Stay tuned…
Of course, we can’t forget the skating pros who’ll be guiding these celebs across the slippery stage! No word yet on which pro dancers will return, but we’d love to see fan faves like Alexandra Schauman, Łukasz Różycki and reigning champ Vicky Ogden back in action.
As for the hosts, bubbly Holly Willoughby is likely to return for presenting duties. But with Phillip Schofield‘s recent departure, who will take over as her new co-host? We need someone with sparkle and wit to match Holly’s shine. Get your votes in!
And on the judges’ table, we expect skating superstars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean to reprise their roles alongside Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and Strictly’s Oti Mabuse. Though a fifth rotating judge would add some fresh perspective! What do you think?
