The Traitors producers have revealed who is at the top of their list for a celebrity version of the iconic game show.
Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery game has had viewers hooked from the moment it began, with plenty of celebs watching too.
While it unfortunately came to an end last week, with the ultimate Traitor Wilfred Webster finally banished as Faithfuls Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski taking home the £101,050 prize, there are now rumours of a celebrity version in the works.
A TV insider has claimed that the broadcaster is ‘thrilled’ with how much love there has been for the show, and that a celebrity version would be ‘a natural next step’.
And although it has yet to be confirmed, executive producers Sarah Fay and Toni Ireland have shared who they’re keen to cast.
In an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk, Sarah said: ‘I think we’d want people who are so invested in the game and want to play the game, and I think that’s what brings the drama so well.

‘We’ve been blown away by some of our celebrity support.’
She continued: ‘I’d love to see Rylan [Clark], he’d be incredible, but also Kathy Burke is a fan.
‘I mean Russell T Davies is a fan.’
‘I think I’d want very much a mixture of different types of celebs as well,’ she added.
‘To see Kathy Burke calling someone out at the roundtable could be pretty good,’ Toni added.
Comedian Kathy was just as invested in the game as the rest of us, declaring herself firmly on Team Wilfred after fellow Traitor Amanda Lovett chose Wilf over Alyssa Chan, banishing the 21-year-old.
‘Amanda was fab, yes but Wilf is playing the best game. A mate said earlier they want a faithful to win but all they’ve done is sit around getting everything wrong and crying. F**k em. Team Wilf!’ Kathy tweeted.
While we’re still waiting for a UK celebrity version to get the greenlight, The Traitors US has an iconic cast including Below Deck icon Kate Chastain, Real Housewives’ Brandi Glanville, Survivor stars Cirie Fields and Stephenie LaGrossa, and Big Brother’s Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly among them.
Under the eyes of host Alan Cumming, they will be playing alongside civilian contestants including an influencer, a yoga instructor, a nurse and a political analyst.
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
