White Lotus viewers have been left flustered by yet another sex scene as the drama stepped up several notches.
Tanya McQuoid, played expertly by Jennifer Coolidge, hasn’t had the most relaxing time at the famed hotel resort in Sicily, after rowing with husband Greg (Jon Gries).
She was also rocked after walking in on new pal Quentin (Tom Hollander) having sex with his ‘nephew’, Jack (Leo Woodall), in shocking scenes that aired last week.
The racy antics continued throughout the latest episode when Quentin introduced her to Niccolo (Stefano Gianino) at a party, who he described as ‘notoriously hung’.
As the celebrations continued, the newcomer walked into a room fully naked, leaving Tanya – and fans watching on from home – totally shocked.
They soon became intimate, leading to questions over where this left her relationship with Greg, and whether this could lead to an untimely death for anyone involved.
Fans couldn’t get enough of Niccolo, and flocked to Twitter to voice their thirst.
‘Niccoló I’m free all week babe #WhiteLotus,’ one suggested.
A Twitter user followed suit: ‘Niccolo? I need him. I want him. #WhiteLotus.’
‘NICOLO omfg let me book this flight to Sicily right f**kin now #WhiteLotus [sic],’ another suggested, wanting to get in on the action.
As a follower added: ‘Ohhh Nicolo is yummy. Go Tanya! #WhiteLotus.’
Viewers will know that Niccolo isn’t the only White Lotus star to strip off in front of the camera, as Theo James’ character, Cameron Babcock undresses in front of his pal’s wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza), in the season two premiere.
Unpacking the moment with ET, he admitted that a previous take had to be ‘toned down’.
‘The initial version we shot was way too much,’ he said. ‘So, we did a more subtle version. They toned it [down].
‘It’s interesting, [because] at first… we don’t know whether it’s deliberate or [if] it’s accidental. But it reveals itself.’
All eyes will be on next week’s finale, when we will hopefully get some much-needed answers to those scenes…
The White Lotus season 2 airs on Sundays on HBO Max in the US and the following day on Sky and NOW in the UK.
