Good Morning Britain’s Ed Balls has predicted our Love Island winners this year – and we don’t think he’ll be alone!
The former politician has been as hooked on the ITV2 dating show as the rest of us, recently giving his very matter-of-fact opinion on Luca Bish.
But last night, after Davide Sanclimenti made Ekin-Su Culculoglu homemade tiramisu and made things official, he was well and truly won over.
‘We all, last night, when the tiramisu moment came, when he shook the yellow cushion and Dami [Hope] came over, we punched the air and said, “They’ve won it,”‘ Ed, 55, declared on GMB.
‘That’s the moment, that’s the moment which is gonna win it for Ekin-Su and Davide.’
However, he’s got his eye on another contestant for the final.
‘Danica [Taylor]- I think Danica is, you know, she was in the last three, but I think Danica in the next couple of days, I think she’s really, really cool and she’s strong, and she’s been really persistent, and I think the country out there loves her. So I wonder,’ he reflected.
Davide and Ekin-Su are officially exclusive, with the pair sharing a (literally) sweet moment in Sunday night’s episode.
As night fell, Davide asked Ekin-Su to join him at the mini fire pit, leading her to joke: ‘Oh no, not the fire pit.’
‘Why not, it’s our place,’ Davide joked, before telling her: ‘I wanted to bring you here because this is the place where we had our first kiss.’
‘Should I be scared?’ Ekin-Su asked – looking, it should be said, terrified and bewildered.
‘Did you make this?!’ she asked, shocked – before Davide revealed the words on the dessert translated to ‘Be mine.’
‘If you eat it, it means a yes,’ he said.
Ekin-Su repeatedly asked if he had made the dessert – before saying ‘So it’s a yeah.’
After sharing a kiss, Ekin-Su then jumped up and told the on-looking islanders: ‘So… we’re exclusive I guess!’ – to which everyone cheered and applauded.
Fans reckon the pair are surely headed for the final – but who could be joining them? Only time will tell!
