This Morning host Rochelle Humes revealed Conservative Party leadership candidate Liz Truss has failed to take up the opportunity of an interview on the ITV show.
Ms Truss is currently locked in a tense race to Number 10 alongside Rishi Sunak, which will result in one of the two becoming the Prime Minister on September 5.
The pair have been going up and down the UK to campaign and prove themselves to be the better candidate.
However, Ms Truss was called out by This Morning’s Andi Peters and Rochelle after Mr Sunak gave an interview on the same programme.
‘We should also say that we have reached out to Liz Truss for an interview,’ Rochelle said.
But the pair seemed to confirm Ms Truss had failed to reply, as Rochelle shrugged and the hosts shared an awkward moment of silence.

Andi quickly moved on but was met by the noise of laughter from the crew in the background.
The former chancellor was probed on the show moments before, where he was asked about issues such as the cost of living crisis, including rising energy costs.
However, many viewers were left unimpressed when the pair asked him on some less serious issues, such as his favourite McDonald’s order.
The pair brought up the MP’s attempt at using a contactless card in McDonald’s in a photo shared to his Instagram story on Wednesday.
They decided to then quiz him on his go-to order from the fast-food chain, which viewers were left very confused by.
He told them: ‘I was there at about 7.45am in the morning, it was not a burger, I got breakfast.
‘A bacon roll with ketchup and pancakes. If I’m with my daughters we get the wraps. Wraps with the hash brown and everything.’
But many fans of the fast-food chain quickly pointed out that the breakfast wrap hasn’t been on sale at McDonald’s since early 2020, after it was pulled during Covid…
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
