As he joined Josie Gibson on the show, This Morning’s Craig Doyle spoke up about having his race bike stolen and delivered a direct message to the offender.
Before the duo briefly caught up on their life on Monday’s episode, Josie, 38, claimed she had missed Craig’s “Irish tones” during their absence from presenting the famous ITV show.
While Josie and her kids had just experienced the “greatest weekend of their lives” at Camp Bestival, Craig shared a less enthused account of having his prized racing bike stolen.
The 52-year-old said that he had two weeks of experience driving the kids about and that thanks to his travels, he now knew every song by Tyler The Creator.
The presenter continued by saying to the camera, “My race bike was stolen, sure, it has a really little seat so I hope it hurts,” before going on to discuss the incident.
He just said, “It’s worth a lot,” in response to Josie’s inquiry about the bike’s value. yet the memories associated with it were more significant.
‘If there’s someone walking round London and they’re not able to walk very well, it’s cause the saddle is tiny and it hurts – and I hope it really hurts,’ he added.
After saying farewell to their final show of the summer, Alison Hammond, 48, and Dermot O’Leary, 50, are being replaced by the duo.
Since it was her “final day” with the former X Factor presenter due of their summer vacation, Alison noted on Friday’s installment of the show that she was “happy.”
Dermot chirped with a comparable amount of enthusiasm, “Our summer holiday! Thank you, I feel like I’m watching a dream show!
Fellow Presenter of This Morning Holly Willoughby, 42, has been sighted visiting her property in Portugal while she is presently on vacation from the show.
It follows the announcement that Holly would host the programme with a rotating cast of co-presenters if ITV decided not to replace Phillip Schofield.
Describing Holly as This Morning’s ‘Queen Bee’, an ITV source said: ‘The idea of finding the next Phil to sit next to Holly has been disregarded by This Morning’s bosses. It will be Holly along with whichever rotating presenter is selected to join her. It will essentially be Holly’s show.
‘Bosses hope that they can put all of the Schofield scandal behind them and start concentrating on the content of the show rather than the twosome presenting it. At least this way there won’t be any falling out.’
They continued to the Daily Mail: ‘Holly is so excited about the plan, she loves Josie, Craig, Alison and Dermot. It’s a happy ship and she made the decision not to quit but instead to return and keep things going while being at the helm. Holly is absolutely determined to head up the challenge to make the show a success again.’
