A pair of nude cyclists on This Morning left viewers spluttering over their breakfast, as the camera didn’t shy away from showing their bare behinds on TV.
While the guests in the studio were cycling for a good cause to raise money for charity, people watching the ITV programme were distracted by the thought of how uncomfortable it could be to sit naked on a saddle, despite the cyclists insisting otherwise.
At the start of Thursday’s show, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby explained that they pre-recorded the segment with the cyclists, who are riding 1,000 miles on a tandem from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise over £5,000 for charity.
They realised that you could see the man’s ‘bits’ on camera, and while they tried to blur his private parts, they had to send the clip off to be edited before they could safely share it with their audience, as Holly laughed about the idea of placing an ‘aubergine emoji’ on top.
Just over an hour into the programme, the segment was shown, as the man and woman sat nude on the tandem bike while chatting with the This Morning co-hosts.
Phillip and Holly kept their composure as they expressed interest in the duo’s charitable venture, but viewers couldn’t help but point out the amount of time the camera spent facing the cyclists’ backsides.

‘Christ she’s got a saddle up her a**e on National tv!!!’ one person tweeted, while another wrote: ‘Stop panning to their a**es.’
‘Oh the chafing,’ someone else said with concern, as another viewer piped up to add: ‘11.10 in the morning showing their a**es now thats enough to put you off your breakfast.’
One viewer sounded extremely angry by the inclusion of the segment on today’s show, tweeting in a message directed at the programme: ‘How dare you!’
Questioning if This Morning was ‘struggling for content’, they added: ‘This is atrocious.’
When the cyclists first arrived in the ITV studio, flowers were used to partially cover the woman’s breasts as she smiled at the back of the tandem.
It was explained that they were raising money for two charities – mental health organisation Mind and climate emergency charity Rewilding Britain.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
