An actor was apprehended sneaking tobacco into prison by concealing it in his anal channel.
The series Banged Up has seen seven prominent personalities locked up inside HMP Shrewsbury, a Victorian jail abolished in 2013, to see firsthand what life is like on the inside, sharing tight cells alongside ex-cons.
EastEnders’ Sid Owen, Gogglebox’s Marcus Luther, music sensation HRVY, writer Peter Hitchens, former Conservative politician Neil Parish, and present Conservative MP and Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Johnny Mercer are among the cast members.
Tom Rosenthal, well known for his work on Friday Night Dinner and Plebs, will be joining them.
Tom, 35, believes that convicts are misunderstood, so he joined up to learn more about offenders.
In the most recent episode, this involves going to extraordinary lengths to obtain supplies into the prison.
In an exclusive film, Tom speaks with jail guards who give him the opportunity to confess whether or not he is hiding anything before a search.
‘I’ve never liked taking orders and I imagine that what prison mainly is,’ he says.
He then reveals that he has ‘hidden some tobacco amongst my person’.
The actor then starts stripping down as he’s asked by the guards: ‘Have you anything inside your body that you are secreting, i.e., contraband?’
While shaking his head, he subsequently tells the cameras that he’managed to get some tobacco in’.
When the time comes to recover the goods, Tom sits on the toilet.
He suddenly appears with his trousers down, groping into his buttocks, but yells, ‘Oh man, that’s no good.’
Everything Tom has concealed is now ‘covered in s***,’ which is very disgusting to watch.
He then needs to come up with another means to get it out without causing a full mess, and he employs the usage of toilet paper to help with the task at hand.
He then rises up and must begin searching into the toilet bowl to find what he requires.
‘Oh mate, rough,’ he says while putting his hand deep inside and finally retrieves the tobacco, which has been stored inside a condom.
He’s then seen smoking outside his window, later confessing that he ‘doesn’t enjoy’ being locked up.
‘I was not prepared at all to be in this place,’ he adds.
All of the inmates portrayed in the series have completed their terms and are now free.
Banged Up is continues tonight from 9.15pm on Channel 4.
