Vanessa Feltz has stated that she went months without eating after her divorce from Ben Ofoedu.
The 61-year-old TV host divorced her 17-year partner in February after it was revealed he had cheated on her many times.
The This Morning host has been frank about her sadness and the drastic upheaval in her life since she and the 50-year-old Phats & Small musician became engaged.
Vanessa has continued to discuss her feelings about the divorce as she prepares to return to the dating scene on Celebs Go Dating alongside Love Island‘s Chloe Burrows.
In a new interview with Women magazine, according to Mail Online, Vanessa said: ‘I haven’t eaten in months as I’ve been so heartbroken. That’s the silver lining from a broken heart.’
Vanessa went on: ‘I don’t know if I’m on my A game. I think I look ok. I hope some other people might think so.
‘I’ve had a chequered career in terms of my weight but that’s under control.
‘Instead of being grateful that a man flickers his eyes in my direction, I’d like to reach a level of confidence where I think, “I’m glad you’ve chosen me but you’re not right.”‘
Vanessa had previously addressed her weight loss over recent months, saying: ‘I think I’ve lost about two stone, I’m not sure. I haven’t weighed myself, but [I’ve lost] quite a lot.’
She added to Closer Magazine: ‘I tried on some dresses the other day in a size 12, and they were much too big. Although it could have been just those dresses, so I’m not saying I’m a size 10 – I’m not saying anything about my size – but I have lost weight.’
This comes after dating specialist and celebrity love guru Anna Williamson told Metro.co.uk about Vanessa’s ‘rusty’ dating start.
Anna shared: ‘She came in looking forward to it but naturally hesitant about what the dating world would lay in store for her.

‘Vanessa openly hasn’t dated in 17 years but she was ready and raring to go.’
‘When you haven’t dated for that amount of time, you’re gonna be a bit rusty and not really sure about who you’re after, what you’re after, and how to do it,’ continued Anna.
‘We were very aware as well that Vanessa has been very, very heartbroken and let down.
‘We wanted to make sure that she felt supported and taken care of while also introducing her to dates and hopefully helping her find happiness.’
Vanessa has claimed to being ‘terrified’ of her experience on the show.
She said: ‘Shock! Absolutely shocked to the core – terrified, shocked you know all that stuff. Also quite fun.’
Vanessa added to The Mirror: ‘I could hardly breathe, in fact, I still can’t… It’s a big old deal, really nervous.’
She continued: ‘[I was] in shock by the whole thing just shocked.
‘It was like, “What just happened?!” I think I will get more into it as the weeks go by because it’s only the beginning now, we’ve got lots and lots more filming to do.’
Celebs Go Dating airs Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on E4, stream or catch up on Channel 4.
