Victoria Beckham has once again demonstrated her business acumen by capitalising on a hilarious moment from a recent Netflix documentary about her husband.
Beckham’s recent four-part series followed David’s career with Manchester United as well as his marriage to Victoria.
In one episode, the former Spice Girls member discussed her’very working class’ upbringing.
Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, was speaking on-screen about her childhood.
When her husband overheard her remark about her family’s apparently humble beginnings, he interjected.
Speaking to the interviewer, Victoria said: ‘We’re very, very working class.’
David urged his wife to ‘be honest’ as he opened a door and peered into a room.
‘I am,’ she declared, before he pushed her to share what car her drove her to school in when she was younger.
Despite her best attempts to avoid the question, saying ‘it’s not a simple answer, it depends’, she eventually relented.
‘OK, in the Eighties, my dad had a Rolls-Royce.’
‘Thank you,’ her husband said, before disappearing behind the door once more.
Currently, Rolls-Royce vehicles start at £252,000.
Many people found the exchange amusing, praising David for pushing his wife to be truthful, and she has now embraced the viral moment.
This week, the 49-year-old fashion designer posted a photo of herself wearing a white shirt to her social media accounts, writing ‘available now’ and linking to her website.
The slogan top read: ‘My Dad Had A Rolls Royce’.
Victoria, who also shared a video, stated that she needed to embrace her heritage and had released a product to commemorate the occasion.
‘I can’t fight it anymore, yes my dad drove me to school in a Rolls Royce! Kisses David Beckham xx Shop the exclusive Slogan T-Shirt now!’ she wrote, whilst also sharing a clip of their exchange from the series.
The plain white tee costs £110 and comes in sizes XS to XL.
It is 100% cotton and made in Portugal.
The website says the tee ‘embodies the brand’s playful side’.
Victoria’s mother, Jacqueline Doreen, worked as an insurance clerk and hairdresser, and her father, Anthony William Adams, was an electronics engineer.
David and Victoria have been together for 24 years.
They met in 1997, married in 1999, and have four children: Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12 years old.
