Siân Lloyd, a weather presenter, has said she has been in a five-year relationship with an unknown guy.
Her new romance comes after she divorced her spouse, motor racing entrepreneur Jonathan Ashman, in 2015.
Siân, 65, would not divulge the identity of her current partner, but stated that they met through acquaintances and are “very pleased.”
‘We met via mutual acquaintances and have been dating for over five years. It’s really amazing, and we’re very happy together,’ she told Bella Magazine.
According to the broadcaster, she hadn’t been with a partner in roughly four years until meeting her lover, who inspired her to sign up for reality programme Our Shirley Valentine Summer.
Siân joined several unmarried middle-aged female celebrities to a Greek island, like Ingrid Tarrant and Lizzie Cundy, to rediscover themselves and maybe love.
Siân was formerly engaged to Lembit Opik, a former Liberal Democrat MP, and the pair won £64,000 for charity on Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? just before separating.
Siân met Jonathan during a St David’s Day celebration at the Palace of Westminster, while Lembit went on to date Gabriela Irimia of pop music duo The Cheeky Girls.
Jonathan proposed to Siân in December 2007 while on vacation at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. For eight years, they were married.
Siân previously addressed their breakup on Celebrity First Dates in 2015, saying she was still ‘raw’ from the surprise split.
She said: ‘I was married for eight years and it was the happiest eight years of my life. We had the most amazing marriage and one day he just left.
”I have only been divorced a few months so it is still very raw.’
Siân was the UK’s longest-serving female weather forecaster, appearing on ITV Weather for 24 years, from 1990 to 2014.
She has also been on reality television series such as I’m A Celebrity and Total Wipeout.
