One of the most glamorous nights in the British cinema calendar has arrived: the 2023 EE Baftas film awards.
Celebrating the greatest in British and worldwide cinema, notable figures from both behind and in front of the camera will be dressed to the nines to walk the red carpet.
The 76th annual event will be held at London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, with celebrities such as Brendan Fraser, Cate Blanchett, and Austin Butler wanting to walk away with the famed mask statue.
But when will the event air on television, who will host it, and whose films have been nominated?
Here’s all you need to know about tonight’s celebrity-studded gala…
What time are the Baftas and how to watch on TV?
All the glitz and glamour can be found on BBC One tonight, February 19, from 7pm to 9pm.
The programme will conclude with a live broadcast of the last four categories for the first time ever. The full performance has been pre-recorded in prior years.
Who is hosting the Baftas?
This year’s hosts are Bafta-nominated actor Richard E Grant and This Morning’s Alison Hammond.

Grant, 65, will. be hosting the event from the Royal Festival Hall, while Hammond, 48, will be catching up with the winners (and losers) backstage.
Speaking about securing the gig, Grant said: ‘I feel hugely privileged to be hosting the EE Baftas for the first time and the opportunity to celebrate the very best of the extraordinary range of this year’s films.’
What films have been nominated at the Baftas?
With 14 nominations, Netflix’s war thriller All Quiet On The Western Front leads the pack, and will compete for Best Picture with The Banshees Of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Tár.
Colin Farrell and Austin Butler share a category with Brenda Fraser, Daryl McCormack, Bill Night, and Paul Mescal for main actor, while Cate Blanchett, Michelle Yeoh, Danielle Deadwyler, Ana de Armas, and Emma Thompson share a category for lead actress.
