There’s been laughter, tears, and a whole lot of romance, but now it’s time to pack our suitcases and say adios to the eighth season of Love Island.

The 2022 series has given us everything we could have ever wanted including explosive rows, bombshells galore, shock exits, and even a spot of heart-melting romance.

We’ve welcomed new bombshell islanders throughout the season and during the eagerly-anticipated Casa Amor, and waved goodbye to others through brutal dumpings and even some shock decisions to leave.

We’re close to the finish line now, but we’re not quite there yet and the final four face off for the top prize.

This year, the show began on June 6, and tonight it will come to an end with the final episode, but what time does it hit our screens?

Here’s everything you need to know:

What date will Love Island 2022 end?

Love Island’s highly-anticipated finale will kick off at 9pm on ITV 2 on Monday, August 1.

And you’ll get even more drama than normal as the final episode will air for an extra 30 minutes and finish at 10.35pm.

The bumper episode typically sees the public cast their vote on four remaining couples, deciding their favourite romance and choosing who they want to win the £50,000 cash prize.

Usually, the winning couple’s villa-born relationship is put to the test, as they each select one of two envelopes – one of which grants the holder the full prize fund.

They must then choose if they want to share the money with their new love, or keep it all to themselves.

Surely, the latter would be extremely awkward for contestants and viewers alike. But to date, nobody has kept all of the cash for themselves after being crowned winner. Phew.

The Love Island 2022 final will be on on ITV2 and the ITV Hub at 9pm.
