Pamela, A Love Story

The fact that Sebastian Stan’s talking penis does not make an appearance in this documentary will either come as a relief to you or a disappointment to you, depending on your point of view. It is the officially sanctioned account of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who plays a significant role in the production despite her previous objections to the creative licence exercised by the drama Pam & Tommy.

Gunther’s Millions

We don’t use the word “quirky” too often, but it’s the best term to describe this documentary about the eccentric German countess Carlotta Von Liebenstein, who in 1992 bequeathed her huge wealth to Gunther, her German shepherd. This documentary recounts what transpired after she made this bequest. A wealth that, if this shaggy dog story is to be believed, has been passed down to Gunther IV in recent years.

Dear Edward

This multi-storyed ensemble drama was created by Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights), who used a horrible plane accident as the jumping-off point. The disaster was brought to life in such a horrifying manner that it will have you on the edge of your seat. Edward, a 12-year-old child who is the only survivor of the accident and whose narrative connects profoundly with anybody coping with a sense of loss, is at the centre of the storm. Impressive newcomer Colin O’Brien plays Edward, who is at the centre of the storm. He is the only survivor of the catastrophe.
First three episodes available Friday then released weekly.
