As the weather gets colder and the nights are drawing in, there’s never been a more perfect excuse to stay in and stream some TV.
This week you can expect a classic spin-off, an action thriller and a documentary exploring the events of a tragic moment.
Here’s what’s in store from Netflix, Apple TV+ and Paramount+ this week.
Wednesday
Netflix
Tim Burton and The Addams Family is a marriage made in macabre heaven, so when you add in a score from the impeccable Danny Elfman you can rest assured that this spin-off from the beloved gothic family business is in safe hands.
Catherine Zeta-Jones makes a spookily sultry Morticia but the main event is Jenna Ortega, above, as daughter Wednesday, packed off to a peculiar boarding school where she soon makes a mark as the kookiest of the kooks.

Elite
Netflix
Let’s say a cheery ola! to season six of this delicious tapas of a class-based Spanish saga, with Valentina Zenere, below. And, by ‘class-based’, we mean the friction between the rich and poor students at a swanky academy where the pupils frequently rub each other up the wrong way.

Echo 3
Apple TV+
Luke Evans, above, is in tough-guy mode in this action thriller from Mark Boal. Evans plays Bambi, a battle-hardened special ops soldier who has to bury the hatchet with his brother-in-law, Prince (Michiel Huisman), when their scientist sister/wife Amber is kidnapped by rebels in Colombia. The dialogue drags its knuckles but there’s plenty of action here.
Episodes 1-3 available today.
JFK Murder: Minute By Minute
Paramount+
The tragic events that unfolded in Dallas, with the assassination of president John F Kennedy in 1963 are seen through the eyes of Jackie Kennedy, security man Roy Kellerman and assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
