While we don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade regarding I’m a Celebrity 2022 – which has been keeping us thoroughly entertained in recent weeks – every good thing must come to an end.
I’m a Celebrity started earlier than usual this year, due to the Qatar World Cup starting at the end of the month – and it’s been a series to remember.
And 2022 has been one of the biggest series’ yet thanks to a star cast including 80s pop sensation Boy George, Royal Family member Mike Tindall, and MP Matt Hancock – whose appearance in the jungle created quite the controversy, and thousands of complaints to Ofcom.
In that time we’ve seen the famous campmates jump from planes, hang hundreds of feet in the air, chow down on some fairly disgusting dishes in the infamous eating trials, and have all manner of critters dropped on their heads.
But with the finish line in sight, just when will everybody return to the real world – with one of their number hoisting the King or Queen of the Jungle title?
When is the I’m A Celebrity final?
Fans are looking at an earlier finish due to the earlier start, with the final due to take place on Sunday November 27.
The show kicks off on ITV1 at 9pm and is a bumper edition, running all the way through until 10.40pm.
It will see the last three celebrities eagerly awaiting the public’s verdict on who deserves to be King or Queen of the Jungle – as well as seeing them all undertake one final Bushtucker Trial as their time in camp comes to a close.
Despite all vying for the crown, they don’t actually get much else for winning…
Still, whoever wins this year will get the honour of being the first jungle monarch since 2019 – the 2020 and 2021 series crowned a King and a Queen of the Castle, after switching filming locations to Gwyrch Castle in Wales.
The previous winners of I’m a Celeb were Giovanna Fletcher in 2020 and Emmerdale’s Danny Miller in 2021.
I’m a Celebrity continues tonight at 9.15pm on ITV.
