Britain’s Got Talent has returned with a bang, with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon on the lookout for the next royal variety act.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli will replace David Walliams as a judge, and Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will reprise their hosting roles.
While we don’t know much about the acts that will be on our screens in just a few hours, Amanda has previously stated that the show will return to its roots with more amateur talent, and bosses have promised’more Golden Buzzer moments than any season yet’ – so we can expect some spectacular performances.
Stunned by what he’s already seen, Bruno has teased a particularly memorable so far audition: ‘an artistic form of flatulating’.
He explained on Friday’s This Morning: ‘To be honest, I don’t think this is right for King Charles!
‘It was hysterical because I’m not really into all of that stuff but what was funny was he kept getting it all wrong, there wasn’t enough gas!’

But who is the auditionee showing off his farting skills? Here’s everything you need to know about Ichikawa Koikuchi.
Who is Ichikawa Koikuchi?
The Japanese performer describes himself as a “fartist.”
According to his social media, he may ‘pass petrol anytime he pleases, in order to focus on his one and only particular skill – a fart’.
The 42-year-old has been performing for decades and has a tiny 500-strong Instagram following as well as a YouTube account.
Where have you seen Ichikawa before?
While he is dazzling Bruno for the first time, this is not Ichikawa’s first appearance on the Got Talent stage.
He did, in fact, participate on Asia’s Got Talent in 2019 and France’s Got Talent in 2022.
Will this be Ichikawa’s third appearance on the Got Talent stage?
While Bruno was not sure that the farting skill was appropriate for King Charles, who knows what the other judges would think?
Britain’s Got Talent returns tonight at 8pm on ITV1.
