Andi Peters and Josie Gibson of This Morning were struck speechless when they met the UK’s strongest couple on today’s show.
Paul and Shannon Smith joined the co-hosts in the ITV studio to showcase their astounding weight-lifting achievements, which are nearly impossible to comprehend.
Shannon, who was voted the world’s strongest woman, also remembers carrying a 270-kilo automobile on her back for a total of 15 metres, leaving us speechless.
Paul and Shannon, who married last year, met on the strongman’s circuit after communicating on social media first.
Paul, who is now married, is the UK’s strongest man, having won the Gorilla Glue UK’s Strongest Man in 2022, while Shannon, according to her Instagram bio, was crowned the LW World’s Strongest Woman in 2021, and has twice won the title for England’s strongest woman.
‘You’re sat here right now as the world’s strongest woman,’ Josie said to her in amazement, as the couple sat next to each other on the sofa.

When asked how much they’d lifted, Paul revealed that he’d lifted a whopping 200 kg over his head, which is the equal of 440 pounds or 32 stone.
Shannon, who claimed that she is half Paul’s bodyweight, has lifted 100 kilos over her head and a 140-pound Atlas Stone, which is a concrete ball.
To top it all off, she recounted the difficult task of lugging a 270-kilogram automobile on her back for 15 metres.

During a recent post on social media, Shannon opened up about how she’s been ill in recent weeks and therefore unable to train as much as she’d like to.
‘The amount of training that I’ve done in the past 8 weeks is probably the same as I usually do in around 1-2 week’s. Holidays and then getting a few illness is making me feel like I’m back to square one but I’m determined to get my routine back now and hit some decent numbers again,’ she shared with her 12,000 followers.
She added: ‘I definitely needed the mental and physical break, my body was done in from around mid year and really needed some time away, but I didn’t want 8 weeks of it 🤦. I’m so excited to train properly again.’
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
