Jessica Simpson has stunned fans with her latest internet antics.
The 43-year-old I Wanna Love You Forever hitmaker turned to social media yesterday night to share some fresh scroll-worthy photos.
Jessica looked stunning as she shimmied about her living room to Peggy Lee’s Fever, wearing a magnificent crimson floor-length dress with a tight bodice, gothic lace sleeves, and a neck collar.
Alongside the shots, Jessica teased some lyrics for her new music, as she wrote: ‘Souls Are Catchin’ Fire 🔥 new lyric tease 🔥’
Despite her stunning appearance, admirers were perplexed by the succession of photos and videos, with many claiming they did not know her.
‘I couldn’t even tell who this was…’ wrote Instagram user tinag923, while nordicmoxie said: ‘I thought this was Khloe Kardashian…’
‘Woe. She sure doesn’t look like the the Jessica I remember,’ addedbrenda_rebel_angel_.
Others complimented Jessica for the change, as jazzwithwings wrote: ‘I love how she can keep reinventing herself. It’s really hard being a woman, a mom, and a wife. Keep going, girlfriend.’
However, others were simply dumbstruck by the transformation, as donnabalkcum wrote: ‘Does not look like Jessica Simpson.’
Jessica has openly discussed her struggle with alcohol addiction, which resulted in her gaining and losing ‘100lbs’ three times in a short period of time.
In November, she wrote an emotional message commemorating six years of sobriety, along with a photo of herself in the grips of alcohol addiction.
She appeared unrecognisable in the photo, which showed her bent over a sofa wearing a pink tracksuit.
The Where You Are hitmaker shared the identical photograph two years ago, along with a message on the stigma associated with alcoholism and how she had ‘rediscovered her light’.
The US star wrote: ‘This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself.
‘I had so much self discovery to unlock and explore. I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity.’
The mum-of-three added: ‘There is so much stigma around the word alcoholism or the label of an alcoholic. The real work that needed to be done in my life was to actually accept failure, pain, brokenness, and self sabotage.
Jessica disclosed in her January 2020 biography that she had two previous stomach tucks, both in 2015.
‘I wanted to get rid of the stretch marks and loose skin left sagging from my back-to-back pregnancies,’ she explained.
‘I was so ashamed of my body at this point that I wouldn’t let Eric see me without a white T-shirt on.’
Jessica is now working on a new album, her first in ten years, which will be published this year, and she has previously stated that she will also go on tour.
In November, she told Footwear News: ‘Writing music has become a beautiful therapeutic thing for me that I didn’t know was so natural, but it’s because I haven’t done it in so long.
‘It’s just nice to know that I’m meeting myself back in this place, as a woman, and after going through everything that I’ve been through in my life. There’s a sense of freedom and empowerment.’
Jessica and former NFL star Eric Johnson married in 2014 and have three children: Ace Knute (10), Birdie Mae (4), and Maxwell Drew (11).
