Katie Price has been given a $10,000 reward by a prominent animal rights charity in exchange for her agreement to never buy a pet again.
PETA claimed it will give the former glamour model, 45, £5,000 in return for signing a legally enforceable promise not to adopt another animal.
The developer of OnlyFans has faced criticism over animal ownership, with thousands joining a petition to stop her from owning pets.
Katie has lost many pets in recent years, including her German Shepherd, Blade, who was hit by a car last year, and her other dog, Sharon, who met the same end months before.
PETA Vice President Elisa Allen offered the mother-of-five a deal in an open letter on their website, citing worries about her ‘consistently injuring’ animals.
Allen wrote: ‘While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned.
‘Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution.’
In response to the open letter, Katie’s rep told the MailOnline: ‘Kate has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.
‘If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch.
‘Isn’t it a waste of charity money or have they got funds available to give out to celebrities, which should be going towards animals?’
Katie, who had previously referred to Blade as her protection dog, claimed he was ‘killed on purpose’ in an attack on her.
Shortly later, she got German Shepherd dog Tank and seemed to smack the puppy on a TikTok Live as he barked and refused to settle.
Last month, Katie reportedly gave Tank away to an electrician, months after getting him, because he ‘no longer looked cute on Instagram’.
They told The Sun that the model ‘loves getting puppies that look cute on Instagram but when they start to grow up and she has to train them she loses interest.’
Katie has already faced considerable criticism about her pets, with seven animals alleged to have perished while in her care in recent years.
In 2020, a campaign to prohibit the model from possessing pets was launched when her French Bulldog puppy, Rolo, choked to death after being stuck in an electric recliner.
Blade, Sharon, Sparkle, and Queenie perished on the A24 outside her home after being hit by motorists.
She also lost a horse in a car accident, and she said Junior’s pet chameleon died of a broken heart when he moved to a residential college.
