Our national treasure does not feature in just any film. With all of the finest shows to select from, Stephen Fry must be involved in something very remarkable.
And after hearing what this new programme has in store for fans, this self-proclaimed dinosaur aficionado couldn’t wait to be involved.
‘Dinosaurs have always been a passion of mine, so I jumped at the opportunity to lend my excitement and curiosity to immerse audiences back in time 250 million years,’ he says.

‘The attention to detail and technology in this series allows us to really delve deep in to some exciting new scientific discoveries about these majestic creatures.’
Stephen not only adds warmth and comedy to the show, but also true gravitas, letting audiences appreciate the prehistoric world like never before.
‘I always felt that dinosaurs are like a window into life on this planet, perhaps the most amazing of all the ones we have,’ he says. ‘There is the awesome spectacle idea of pterosaurs, stegosaurs and Tyrannosaurus Rex inhabiting this earth, fighting, and living and the scale of that.’
2. IT’S DINOSAURS 360: TURBO CHARGED

Expect to see a gigantic CGI Brontosaurus munching on trees while a presenter’s voiceover drones on about their critical statistics.
Because cutting-edge technology has enabled the creation of a full dinosaur universe in which we may truly immerse ourselves.
Cameras may follow Stephen Fry as he goes around their environment, navigating through woods, mounting hills, and strolling alongside these massive creatures.
‘I think it’s a wonderful new way of bringing this kind of science to life,’ says Stephen. ‘We’ve tried to be as absolutely truthful to the science as we can be. It’s not cutesy. What I hope is fun about it is that it tells the story of the different species and how they lived.’

In turn, the dinosaurs may effortlessly travel across their prehistoric home, hunting and screaming much as they did 65 million years ago.
‘The amazing thing is that it is all in real time,’ says Stephen. ‘You are there and as far as anybody is concerned they see me next to the creature. Whether it’s flying through the air or on the ground with me.’
It allows us to go on a supercharged dinosaur safari, meeting a different monster in each episode and learning their secrets.
Along the trip, we’ll meet some of the world’s most renowned dinosaurs, including their ruler, the deadly T-rex.
3. TV FOR ALL THE FAMILY

We’re all enamoured with these wonderful animals who came before us; even though they’re no longer alive, they live on in our thoughts.
Popular culture demonstrates how much we adore them: shops are presently brimming with dinosaur merchandise, and many of the finest films ever produced depict these enormous monsters.
And it’s a fixation we’ve had since we were kids, when we played with dinosaur toys.
So what could be better than gathering the entire family to witness the most realistic representation of dinosaurs ever – it’s sure to bring the whole gang together regardless of age?
Take the kids along for the ride as we meet the gentle diplodocus, vicious raptors, and enormous T-rex, all of which move, walk, hunt, and scream precisely like their real-life counterparts.
You’ll be astounded to see every hair, scale, and feather of every dinosaur in spectacular detail.
4. DINOS FROM DAWN TILL DUSK

It’s difficult to imagine, but dinosaurs roamed the globe for an astonishing 165 million years before being wiped off by a catastrophic meteor strike 65 million years ago.
Dinosaur with Stephen Fry will describe their remarkable journey from beginning to conclusion, beginning with their birth in the Jurassic forests and ending in the Cretaceous plains.
We’ll get to meet grazing herds of gorgeous diplodocus, rampaging bands of predatory raptors, and the most renowned of them all, the T-rex.
And he’ll share the most recent scientific findings regarding what they looked like and how they lived.
‘There is the relatively new discovery they were actually feathered,’ says Stephen. ‘Dinosaurs are more ancestors of birds than of lizards. What we have found is a way of telling the dinosaur story, which is such a great story, and like all great stories is ultimately about us.
‘Even though we weren’t anywhere near there at the time it’s a way of looking at what evolution really means and how nature can push size and variation into the most fantastic kaleidoscope of colours and shapes.’
5. ALL YOUR DINO QUESTIONS FINALLY ANSWERED…

The producers collaborated with scientists and dinosaur specialists to guarantee that all of the material in the series is correct.
And an array of specialists will be on hand to introduce Stephen Fry to his new pals and provide hitherto discovered insights into the life of these fascinating creatures.
They’ll also try to address all of our burning questions regarding these massive monsters.
To do this, each episode will have a specially designed DinoLab where engineers will conduct tests to uncover the reality behind the myths.
‘There are scenes where I am with the animals but also just as exciting are some of our experts recreating jaws of animals to see if this stegosaurus could bite into this triceratops,’ says Stephen.
So, if you’ve ever wondered how powerful a T-bite rex’s was, or whether raptors really did have claws so keen they could disembowel animals, you should listen in…
