Amy Dowden stole the spotlight as she led the stylish arrivals at the 2023 Pride of Britain Awards.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, looked stunning in a floor-length gown in a shade that has significant importance for her.
Amy’s red carpet appearance, her first with a shaved head, coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the colour of which is, of course, pink.
As a real fighter, Amy went all out with a satin dress with bow design that appeared to symbolise the Breast Cancer ribbon.
She also chose not to wear her wig, one day after returning to Strictly for the first dance since being diagnosed with breast cancer and making the ‘last minute’ choice to illustrate that ‘bald is beautiful.’
Amy shared her stage 3 cancer diagnosis in the spring and is now receiving chemotherapy after doctors discovered more tumours.
The TV actress, on the other hand, has kept her spirits up by documenting her therapy on social media, as well as the emotional moment of shaving her head after the agonising experience of losing her long locks.
Amy’s Strictly friends have been there for her every step of the way.
Janette Manrara and Dianne Buswell, who both wore Breast Cancer Awareness pin badges, joined her at the Pride of Britain Awards.
It Takes Two is hosted by Janette, who recently gave birth to a baby girl called Lyra, looked stunning in a beautiful gown.
She, too, opted for a bright pink costume, with a strapless top and a stunning feathered skirt.
Dianne, the red-haired beauty from Australia, was back to her vivid self after wearing a brown wig for Strictly’s Movie Week the day before.
The expert dancer looked stunning in a strapless cream dress with a thigh-high split and gold shoes.
Janette praised co-star Amy on Instagram ahead of the star-studded event, which was hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo in London.
Sharing a photo of the trio with their arms around one another, she wrote in her caption: ‘💗 #PrideOfBritain (She absolutely is 🎀)’
In the comments, fans were all heart eyes.

‘Wow 🤩 3 stunning ladies 💕 you all look amazing xx’, one follower wrote.
‘You all look beautiful, but Amy and that dress!!!’, another wrote.
‘Amy deserves an award 🔥❤️’, added one fan.
There were lots more Strictly stars where those three came from on the rest of this year’s Pride of Britain red carpet!
Zara McDermott stood with her professional partner Graziano Di Prima, looking stunning in a strapless satin gown with a dazzling neckline.
Fleur East, another It Takes Two host, wore a white suit with delicate pearl detailing.
Oti Mabuse boldly displayed her pregnancy belly while dressed in all black as the former Strictly professional, who is presently expecting her first child.
The South African actress, 37, revealed in August that she and her partner, Marius Lepure, 37, were expecting their first child together.
Oti’s developing bump was the centre of attention at the Pride of Britain celebration, as she clutched her tummy, having recorded the ups and downs of the path to parenthood thus far on social media.
Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, as well as Annabel Croft and her pro Johannes Radebe, were among those in attendance.
Kate Garraway, on the other hand, looked stunning in a pink and purple gown with a dramatic belt.
Christine McGuinness was also dressed up in a provocative lace outfit, and Mollie King received the red memo as well.
Naturally, there was some PDA action on the red carpet, with Megan McKenna putting on a lovey-dovey show with her husband-to-be.
The Towie star and her footballer boyfriend Oliver Burke wore identical black ‘fits and shared a kiss after confirming their engagement in June.
If you’re a Love Island fan, this year’s guest list will not disappoint, with victors Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan looking every inch the ‘it’ pair, with Kai in a white tux and Sanam dazzling in gold.
Indiyah Polack revealed bleached blonde brows, which stood in sharp contrast to her raven hair and odd fake leather attire.
In a glitzy sequin gown, Princess Andre mirrored her model mother Katie Price, while Laura Anderson stunned in her debut event just four weeks after giving birth to her first child.
Carol, the evening’s host and former Countdown star, is famed for her legendary Pride of Britain lewks, and 2023 is no exception.
The TV legend looked stunning in cobalt blue, showing her famed curves and her blonde hair in easy curls.
Breast cancer symptoms

- a discharge of fluid from either of your nipples
- a lump or swelling in either of your armpits
- a change in the look or feel of your skin, such as puckering or dimpling, a rash or redness
- a rash (like eczema), crusting, scaly or itchy skin or redness on or around your nipple
- a change in the appearance of your nipple, such as becoming sunken into your breast
The Pride of Britain Awards airs on ITV this October.
