Blake Lively double-checked her Met Gala gown’s fit as she leapt over display ropes to alter the legendary ensemble.
The Gossip Girl actress, 35, violated decorum by skipping across the exhibit to fix her 2022 gown, which was on display at Kensington Palace in London.
Blake went to the Crown to Couture show at the historic site on Tuesday and realised something was off.
While perusing the many treasures in the palace, the diva gravitated towards her own ensemble, which she dazzled audiences with at the renowned event last year, and experimented with the hemming until it was just right.
She posted the scene on her Instagram Story after the event, and admirers watched as she fiddled with the hemline of her dress.
She captioned the video: ‘When you’re the clown who hops over the rope at the museum to fix the exhibit. Happy almost Virgo season folx [sic].’
The actress donned a pair of blue flared jeans, a grey t-shirt, and a stone grey corduroy jacket over the top for the event.
She wore minimal makeup and wore her hair back from her face in a low untidy ponytail.
Blake appeared alongside jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz and another craftsman named Ofira in the next slide.
Nodding to the two women in the picture, she added a caption across the image that said: ‘With my sisters, the genius and unmatched @lorrainschwartz and @ofirajewelz.
‘This was absolutely surreal. Seeing this crown that we made in Kensington Palace.
‘I still feel like a kid playing dress up every time I get to wear a gown and borrowed jewels out. To see it memorialized like this… just. Wow. Something I’ll never forget [sic].’
‘Why am I not shocked she leapt over the rope to arrange the dress in the perfect way,’ remarked the star’s pal Lorraine, who re-posted Blake’s clip to her own account. Blakey, I adore you.’
At the exhibit within Princess Diana’s former house, Blake’s renowned gown was shown among 200 other outfits.
Other looks were Lizzo’s 2022 Met Gala Thom Browne outfit and Lady Gaga’s 2020 MTV Awards gown designed by Christopher John Rogers.
