Britney Spears‘ tell-all memoir will be released in October and is expected to be packed of revelations.
The 41-year-old Toxic singer has had a difficult journey to success since becoming a household celebrity at the age of 16 with Baby One More Time in 1999.
Britney’s personal life has been the subject of much speculation over the years, and her public mental breakdown in 2008, during which she famously shaved her head, was exposed for everyone to see.
The celebrity is now revealing her experience through her book, The Woman In Me, after successfully terminating her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, during which her father controlled her liberties and income.
The memoir, which will be released on October 24, will provide her version of events, as stated in the announcement video: ‘It’s coming, my narrative, on my terms, at last. ‘Are you prepared?’
Britney previously stated that she needed “a lot of therapy” to finish the book.
According to the US publication Page Six, the book agreement with Simon & Schuster is worth up to $15 million (£11 million), and it will undoubtedly fly off the shelves.
But now The Sun has reported not everyone was so excited by the prospect of Britney’s memoir.
Namely, the publication reports popstar Justin Timberlake and actor Colin Farrell had their lawyers weigh in on its contents.
Concerns from the A-listers’ legal teams reportedly ‘postponed’ the publication of the book ‘by four months’.
The source said: ‘Lawyers demanded to see her book in advance and were adamant that some of the revelations were removed.
‘There are still plenty of gobsmacking tales but Justin and Colin were conscious about what could be said about them.
‘The legal process meant the publication was held up by four months as discussions went back and forth about what could be included. But that has finally now been settled and her autobiography is all ready to go.’
Justin, 42, met Britney in the early 1990s and confirmed their romance in 1999, after which they quickly became pop’s favourite sweethearts.
However, 20 years after their three-year romance ended, the documentary Framing Britney Spears, which was published in 2021, put the couple under the spotlight once more.
It stated that in the aftermath of their divorce, Britney faced chauvinism and sexism, which was fueled in part by an interview with Justin at the time in which he claimed she had cheated on him.
‘I recognise that I fell short in these situations and in many others and profited from a system that condones misogyny and bigotry,’ former NSYNC singer Justin said in a public apology to Britney.
‘I specifically want to apologise to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.’

During their NFL Super Bowl halftime act in 2004, Justin famously tore a piece of Janet’s corset.
Despite having had no involvement in the event, which exposed her nipple for all to see, Janet was compelled to apologise and was banned by MTV and fined as a result.
Justin’s career appeared to be unaffected.
Meanwhile, Colin and Britney from The Banshees of Inisherin were rumoured to have had a brief relationship in 2003, although nothing is known about it.
The Daily Mail reports a source claims Colin upset Britney with a car bumper sticker which read, ‘Honk if you’ve slept with Colin Farrell’.
Roll on October, we’re ready Britney.
