Britney Spears has responded to concerns about her well-being after being discovered barefoot and in tears in the middle of the night outside the Chateau Marmont.
Her anguish on Thursday raised fears of a mental health crisis for the 42-year-old pop diva, but she has since refuted the ‘false news’ and stated that she feels ‘harassed’ by paramedics.
The Toxic singer was photographed covered in a blanket, clutching a pillow, and half dressed as she was carried outside to emergency services in the early morning.
Spears fled the hotel with her security team and boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, 37, flanked by a fire engine and ambulance.
‘Just to let people know … the news is fake !!!,’ the star wrote on Instagram. ‘I would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday !!!
‘Truth sucks so can someone teach me how to lie [laughing while crying emoji]??? Goddesses out there, I’m reaching my higher power and furthermore, I hope you guys are too!!!’
In a since deleted version of this, Spears had declared there were ‘body doubles’ used and asked people to teach her ‘how to lie’.
She went on to say she needed a ‘new toothbrush’ and an ‘espresso’ in her usual carefree fashion, joking she wasn’t sure why she was sharing this.
Spears then added: ‘I guess I’m just a girl and I’m on my period so l’m b****y … s***!!! I also twisted my ankle last night and paramedics showed up at my door illegally.
‘They never came in my room but I felt completely harassed. I’m moving to Boston !!! Peace [peace hand sign emoji]’
Her pictures did not end there; she also uploaded a video of her swollen ankle, which was developing a blue bruise.
‘I really twisted my ankle last night like an idiot,’ she explained. ‘It’s so bad. F***ing idiot here tries to do a leap in the living room at the Chateau, and I fell and embarrassed myself, and that’s it.

‘Paramedics came to my door illegally [and] of course caused this huge scene, which was so unnecessary. And all I needed was ice. But yeah, it is actually pretty bad. But s*** happens.’
A second video was also shared, in which she appears to scream as she stares at her ankle before the camera fades out.
In the caption, she mentioned her mother, Lynne Spears, 68, whom she had reconnected with months previously but now seemed to have gotten alienated from.
The Lucky singer wrote: ‘I know my mom was involved !!! I haven’t talked to her in 6 months and she called right after it happened before the news being out !!!
‘I was set up just like she did way back when !!! I wish I had grandparents !!! I can’t stand her !!! I honestly don’t care I will say it 👍🏻🤷🏼♀️ !!!’
She then posted a picture of her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, and praised him for being ‘wonderful’ and ‘like a father’ to her.
‘He got me through last night !!! I adore you and admire you mister Mathew !!!’ Spears concluded.
Another video shared following the event showed the Circus hitmaker dancing to Luis Fonsi’s Despacito, however it is unclear when it was recorded.
She dismissed the event at the hotel and discussed Prince’s habit of dressing up in character every day at home in a dump of ‘useless information’.
‘I’ve been messing around and I thought this costume was beautiful!!!’ Spears said. ‘I used to do shows in Vegas with two layers of tights on my legs !!!
‘They never let me show my real legs !!! It felt kinda weird and idiotic with a costume on my living room !!!
‘Well Prince used to dress up in costumes everyday of his life in his house !!! He used to pick specific dancers to entertain him when he was bored !!!’
Spears allegedly did not board the ambulance, instead leaving with her security team and without her partner.
A guy pushing a stretcher with the star’s stuff was also seen at the Hollywood hotel.
According to TMZ’s sources, Britney was ‘out of control’ in the hotel and harassing other guests. Paramedics were called as hotel staff feared the singer was ‘having a mental breakdown.’
According to the outlet’s sources, Britney and Paul got into a fight in their hotel room that ‘became violent.’
Brian Humphrey, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, confirmed: “Emergency services received a call at 12.42am with reports of an adult female injured.”
‘At 1am an ambulance arrived on the premises. I can confirm no-one was transported. Services left the scene at 1.17am. The police department were not called.’
The act is reminiscent of Spears’ rocky background, including her infamous 2007 head-shaving episode and subsequent admission into a conservatorship in 2008, prompting supporters to be concerned for her well-being.
Spears recently concluded her divorce from her third husband, Hesam ‘Sam’ Asghari, from whom she had been separated for nine months after only 14 months of marriage.
The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer also recently concluded a court dispute with her father, Jamie, about her contentious conservatorship.
A source told The Sun that Britney and her legal team decided to settle in order to ‘protect her from reliving the traumas of her conservatorship.’
The judge determined that Britney must pay both her father’s and her own legal bills, which are believed to exceed $2 million (£1.5 million). She will not receive any compensation from the lawsuit.
Britney responded the verdict with a now-deleted post, which included a mirror photo of herself in a thong.
‘I was actually right about nerve damage in my back !!! I have to get acupuncture every day of my life now !!! Words and thinking too hard make it worse !!! If people only knew how I’ve had to crawl to my own door one time!!!’ she began.
She then went on to seemingly reference the ruling, writing: ‘My family hurt me !!! There has been no justice and probably never will be !!! The people who sat and did absolutely nothing when they did that for four months are smooth sailing.
‘The way I was brought up I was always taught the formative of right and wrong but the very two people who brought me up with that method hurt me !!! I am so lucky to be here!!!’
Britney admitted that she had never told them this ‘face to face’, and that she probably never will as it ‘would not be safe.’
‘It’s funny ‘cus till this very day I haven’t told them face to face !!! I text through IG but I honestly believe it will not be so safe if I ever did go face to face so !!! The child in me knows they would be destroyed and that’s basically it!!!’
She concluded by writing: ‘I do miss my home in Louisiana and I wish I could visit but they took everything!!!.’
Britney then deleted her entire Instagram account.
