Carol Vorderman, 62, is still bathing on the toilet, after spending $50,000 to outfit her campervan.
After selling her £2.6 million Bristol property in December of last year, the TV personality pimped up a £100,000 luxury camper that she dubbed her “man van.”
Vorderman spent 26 years as the face of consonants and vowels on the famous game programme Countdown, hammering out fantastic mathematical equations that fans avidly followed along with at home.
Since leaving the post in 2008, fitness and keeping up with the newest fashion trends on social media have been her new hobbies, in addition to being an aviation queen. That, and refurbishing campervans.
Vorderman described her toilet and shower room in the motorhome to Paul Merton on her BBC Radio Wales programme as ‘small,’ but the decision to line the showerhead over the toilet was deliberate in order to sit down while washing herself.
Maybe this is the new 2023 space-saving hack?

Regardless, the presenter went on to say that her 44 medium wheeled MAN TGE3 is so little that “you can’t actually stand up in it,” which resulted in the unusual design adjustment.
Not only is there a shower and toilet access, but it’s also a ‘compost toilet,’ allowing the user to sit down and save room in the area.
There aren’t many individuals who would give up a mansion with a swimming pool for a 4×4 van while simultaneously waiting to buy a motorhome, but Vorders isn’t one of them.
If the shower-toilet combo doesn’t work out, the actress has another house in Wales and a little flat in Bristol that she could decorate.
Vorderman is presently “really into van life” and enjoys “the scruffiness of it.”

When speaking to Hello! Magazine recently about her desire to live in Wales permanently, the numbers expert admitted to wanting to ‘spend much less time in London working – that’s a decision of mine. I’m only doing the things that I want to do.’
Aside from campers and toilets, the presenter discussed the impending new series of I’m A Celebrity All Stars with Lorraine Kelly on Thursday’s episode of her show.
A completely new edition of the iconic ITV show, starring some previous stars as well as a few past winners, including Vorderman herself, Helen Flanagan, Amir Khan, and Janice Dickinson, will air next month.
Vorderman claimed that she had “fallen in love” with Flanagan, whom she fondly referred to as a “little meerkat.”
When former supermodel Janice Dickinson, 68, was mentioned, she said, ‘Janice Dickinson, we won’t speak about her too much.’
So we can expect some drama in the jungle when that airs!
