Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had quite the adventure after the singer’s London performance when his van broke down, leading them to discover the pleasures of what looked to be a British service station.
John, an award-winning singer-songwriter, is in London for two evenings at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, and his entire family flew in for the event.
After Chrissy gave birth to daughter Esti in January, it was the couple’s first vacation with three children.
They also have a four-year-old boy Miles and a six-year-old daughter Luna, with Esti arriving after Chrissy and John’s unborn baby Jack died in 2020.
Model Chrissy, 37, may have skipped the Grammys in order to spend more time with Esti, but she was all in on this surprise event.
After EGOT winner and performer John, 44, captivated the audience with his performance at the historic venue, his wife went to Instagram Stories to share details about their bus drama.
Her first photo was a hilarious one of her in a dressing robe and black heeled boots, posing next to a food to go area in a store with John.
‘Our bus broke down,’ she captioned the shot, which showed her throwing up her hand in a peace sign.
In the following two photos, she shared some of the food options that seemed to especially appeal to her, including a prawn mayo sandwich and a box of Bacon Tasties, both displayed without remark.
They then appeared to get back on the bus, but the lights were still out.
‘Lol offfff course’, she wrote across a photo of herself and John walking down the centre aisle of the vehicle, illuminated by the torch on her phone.
A brief video footage followed, showing them seated in the dark with an infant crying for attention and the bus’s emergency blue light strips flashing overhead.
‘Well, the electricity is just the electrical,’ Chrissy said as John concurred.
‘Every day is an experience (but we’re great!!)’ She inserted writing that was written across the video.
John recently congratulated Chrissy on the arrival of her daughter Esti, adding he was “in awe” of her.
The All Of Me singer said: ‘There’s still a lot of recovery, but she’s doing great with it.
‘She’s so smart and strong and women go through a lot to bring life into the world and I’m always in awe of her for that.’
‘[It’s] very exciting,’ he told People Magazine of their packed household. ‘I was just saying my kids are doing so well. My older kids are doing so well with her and (it) just fills the house up with more love.
‘I just think we’re more comfortable with ourselves and our parenting style and I think we’re just more comfortable being parents now.
‘So, dare I say, it’s easier.’
