Amy Quigg, Eoghan Quigg’s companion, gave birth to their second kid on Wednesday.
The performer, who rose to prominence as an adolescent after competing on The X Factor in 2008, told supporters that both Amy and his son, Camden, are doing well and that he is’so pleased’ of them.
Amy’s husband, Eoghan, verified her pregnancy in September.
Taking to Instagram midweek, Eoghan posted a handful of heart-melting photos of himself, Amy and Camden in hospital, writing: ‘The finale has arrived. Our baby boy Camden Eoghan Quigg was born in the early hours of this morning.’
The crooner went on: ‘Mummy and baby are doing well. I’m so proud and in awe of you @amylcampbell our family is now complete.’
Many of Eoghan’s 13,200 followers wrote ‘congratulations’ beneath his post, and he was soon overwhelmed with well wishes.
Amy has two children from a prior relationship, and the pair welcomed their first child together, Emmy Belle, last year.
Eoghan placed third on The X Factor, behind champion Alexandra Burke and runners-up JLS, and attempted to represent Ireland in Eurovision in 2014, but fell short.
He was only 16 when he appeared on The X Factor, but he was an immediate success with viewers and Simon Cowell, who served as his mentor.
Despite securing a record contract with RCA Records in 2009 and releasing his self-titled album soon after, Eoghan was dropped from the company after his music failed to perform financially.
Following the demise of his music career, Eoghan attempted his hand at football, temporarily playing for Northern Irish football club Coagh United FC in 2015.
Eoghan still resides in Northern Ireland and continues to work as a musician, frequently performing at weddings and events.
