A guy with 400 tumours on his body has bravely spoken out about his situation.
Kenny has Gardner’s Syndrome, an uncommon disease that causes abnormal growths and eventually leads to colon cancer, which he was identified with when he was only eight years old.
Kenny discusses his situation and the tumours on his limbs, chest, back, and face on TLC’s Dr Pimple Popper.
‘I have over 400 tumours on my body,’ he begins, before showing where they all are.
He says: ‘On my back, from the top of my neck down my tailbone I probably have 200 tumours.
‘On my chest and stomach, I have 40-50 tumours.
‘On my head, I have two or three dozen, and then between my arms and legs I probably have another couple dozen.
‘Over the past few years, the tumours on my body have grown massively.’
He tragically continues: ‘When I was eight-years-old I was diagnosed with Gardner’s Syndrome and a part of that is colon cancer, so when I was nine-years-old I had my large intestine, part of my small intestine and my colon removed.
‘Around that same time I had noticed the first tumour growing on my head, and they just started popping up everywhere out of nowhere.’
Kenny went on to explain that Gardner’s Syndrome is what caused the tumours.
‘They still have no idea why they grow or what makes them grow,’ he said.
‘The disease is so unknown, to be completely honest, going to the doctor’s I literally have to explain to them what it is.
‘I might as well be an expert on my disease.’
As well as dealing with the tumours themselves, Kenny has to deal with getting ‘a lot of looks’ when he goes out in public.
‘There’s a lot of ignorance and stuff like that, I’m just living my version of hell,’ he said.
Kenny’s bravery has been praised on social media, with one person writing: ‘You can see the pain in his eyes. I hope he finds lots of love and support. Hugs to you Kenny!!!!!’
Another penned: ‘Heartbreaking…I hope that she can help him… man, my heart hurts to see someone in so much discomfort.’
Dr Pimple Popper airs on TLC in America.
