Gemma Collins isn’t hesitant to shower herself with affection, especially on her birthday.
The TV diva turned 43 in The Maldives, where she celebrated by donning a purple swimming suit, soaking in the sun, and comparing herself to Jesus.
The TOWIE actress took to Instagram with a shot of her leaning against a door at her villa donning the lilac cossie, giving herself a huge old pat on the back and shouting: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.’
Maybe Gemma got into yoga on the Indian Ocean trip, as she began the post with, ’43 TODAY NAMASTE 🧘♀️’.
The star said she had, ‘no regrets,’ before launching into a heartfelt paragraph about how far she’s come – all the way from a stable, of course.
‘Come to the Maldives to reconnect with nature and ground myself for the year ahead and to continue my soul purpose,’ she said.
‘Thank you to all the rejection, the no’s, the you’re not good enough’s, or people looking down their nose at me because I was a reality star,’ Gemma continued.
‘We all start somewhere and I’m proud to be a reality star!’ she added, before making the humblest of humble comparisons.
‘Jesus was born in a stable and look what he did!!!!,’ she pointed out.
Chatting to haters who thought she wouldn’t make it out the, er, stable, Gemma said: ‘Your the ones who paid for my Maldives trip !!! X cause it made me stronger more determined and more focused.’
Gemma’s disciples descended to wish her well on this special day, as Claire Sweeney wrote: ‘Happy birthday darling xxxx.’
Besties Jedward commented: ‘Gemma our heart and family you bring so much joy and love to us! Surrounding you with love and hugs on this wonderful day your Birthday day! Happy Birthday.’
The star also posted some motivational words on a recent snap from her trip, as she posed in a pink and white swimming costume, wearing a cross necklace, and told fans: ‘Don’t become a clone be YOU and your own kind of beautiful. It’s not how you look it’s who you are.’
She closed the message with the traditional Hindu salutation.
Gemma had a ‘breathtaking encounter’ in Bethlehem around a year ago.
‘I am in the church in Bethlehem, I’ve got tears rolling down my face,’ she said to the camera while in the Church of the Nativity.
‘This is the most breathtaking, unreal experience of my life. The feeling here, you cannot describe it. It is just overwhelming with emotion. I hope everyone gets to experience this once in their life.’
She continued: ‘The feeling of this was like nothing I’ve ever felt before, I can’t even describe what I felt in that moment, I was totally blown away.’
Gemma recently freaked shocked people with a social media video of her dog Blu eating from a plate at a restaurant.
Blu ate a dish of sausages and scrambled egg while standing close to the former Towie star, causing controversy.
‘He only eats at the table and loves eggs!’ Gemma announced in an Instagram video, stroking the dog.
She wrote: ‘The LOVE for dogs 🐩 in Hampstead is next level the joy and happiness they bring to our lives 🐶 why doesn’t everywhere become more doggie friendly this would be fabulous ✌🏻.’
Fans, however, did not play ball and instead responded with a slew of unpleasant comments from followers who were outraged by the dog’s actions.
That one backfired, Jesus.
