Tradition has it that people get tattoos while on vacation, and Gigi Hadid shocked fans when she showed off a huge dragon tattoo on her leg.
After being seen with Matty Healy at Taylor Swift’s show in May, the model is on a girls’ trip to a sunny beach.
Gigi, who is 28 years old, shared photos of herself in a string bikini with a large dragon tattoo on her upper right thigh and hip.
“Mornin’,” Gigi wrote with a little dragon emoji as she posted two pictures of herself on vacation.
Her first shot was of her lying on a sun chair with a green background and a tan.
The second person surprised her fans when she shared a photo of her new tattoo, which was a black and white dragon with lines.
‘All of a sudden…dragons are my favorite animal?’ commented friend Alana O’Herlihy, who is on holiday with Gigi.
Fans loved the tattoo, but the mom showed a behind-the-scenes photo on her story that makes it look like it was only there for a short time.
Alana posted a side view of Gigi in a yellow bikini with the large tattoo in full view with the caption: ‘Tattoos #onagirlstrip.’
Gigi shared Alana’s story and wrote: ‘Am I in my girl w the dragon tattoo era?!’
The supposed tattoo had a small sheen in the picture, which told a sharp-eyed person that it might not be permanent.
In the post, fans can see that one of Gigi’s real tattoos is her daughter’s name, Khai, written in red ink above her inner elbow.
She shares parenting of her 2-year-old child with her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, who recently talked about the rumours about him and Gigi’s mother Yolanda.
On the inside of her finger is a small broken heart that is hard to see unless you know it’s there.
Leah McCarthy, Gigi’s friend, shared some photos of herself with her, and it looked like she had a dragon tattoo on her upper arm, too.
Since the girls look like they’re laying out in the sun and swimming in the ocean, it’s unlikely that they have new tattoos. However, we agree with all the comments that Gigi’s dragon tattoo era was great.
