Hugh Jackman smiled as he ate a large Sunday lunch with friends following his breakup from Deborra-Lee Furness.
After nearly 30 years together, the Wolverine actor, 54, and his wife Deborra-Lee, 67, announced their divorce in September with a joint Instagram message.
Since then, the great actor has been resuming his single life for the first time in decades, with the help of some notable pals.
Hugh has put on a nice front in the middle of sadness, from solitary treks in the forest to donating to organisations, and he even apparently wants to create a tell-all novel about his life.
The celebrity was joined by friends for Sunday lunch, with innumerable meats filling every inch of the dining table, and he was once again backed by friends.
Hugh could be seen grinning in front of a spread of corn on the cob, veggies, slices of watermelon and a substantial amount of meat at the home of friend Andrew Bimson.
In a photo with Andrew, the Australian-born celebrity was seen giggling and rubbing his hands in anticipation of the feast.
Fans flocked to Hugh’s Instagram to share their best wishes to the star and comment on the mouthwatering meal, with one saying it was ‘food fit for a Wolverine.’
‘I’m so happy to see you getting out and having a good time, Hugh,’ they wrote.
‘Ah, just a light lunch then,’ another joked.
One said it was ‘wonderful to see you getting together with friends for a Sunday feast.’
It comes after Hugh was seen helping out at a New York City charity kitchen which cooks and delivers ‘ ‘medically tailored meals’ for people with ‘chronic or serious illness’.
Hugh grinned in an apron with fellow volunteers in an image shared on his Twitter, a dramatic contrast to his yellow Wolverine outfit.
He stated he spent a “wonderful day” volunteering for the organisation.
The Australian actor divorced Deborra-Lee, 67, after they met in 1995 and became engaged three months into their whirlwind affair.
They married in Australia the following April and later adopted their children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
