Hugh Jackman was in Norwich earlier this week, when he ate a quite gigantic “cheat dinner.”
The X-Men star, 54, stopped into The Waffle House and made sure to take images of everything he ate on Instagram.
While the majority of Hugh’s order was quite conventional (imagine a cream-topped milkshake and banana waffles), the same couldn’t be said for the A-lister’s main course.
Hugh, on the other hand, chose waffles smeared with cheese, mushrooms, and what seemed to be mincemeat.
He captioned his post: ‘Happy cheat meal to me! Nooo! I did not share. And I’m not sorry.’
Hugh also made sure to pose with The Waffle House’s staff, with the restaurant sharing snaps on its official Instagram page alongside the caption: ‘Huge thank you to Hugh Jackman for being such a legend… posing for a photo and mentioning us on his social media pages. He also helped chop some vegetables in the kitchen with his claws #wolverine.’
Fans were quick to comment on Hugh’s meal of choice, with one person writing: ‘MUSHROOMS ON WAFFLES? IS THIS THE WOLVERINE DIET?’
Another added: ‘A cheat meal NEVER includes mushrooms,’ while someone else said, ‘How can you eat that mess.’
Hugh’s cheat day comes after he received the all-clear from skin cancer testing.
In an April video, the Wolverine star recounted how his doctor discovered some ‘small abnormalities’ on his skin and suggested he receive biopsies on his nose.
Hugh had previously been treated for basal cell carcinoma, the most prevalent kind of skin cancer that, when discovered, has a post-surgery cure rate of more than 95% in most body locations.
Thankfully, the Logan actor was given the all-clear following the fright, and he rushed to social media to share the good news.
‘My biopsies came back,’ the star wrote in capital letters, followed by ‘NEGATIVE!!!’.
‘Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for helping get this very important message out.’
He added: ‘*PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR SUNSCREEN WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SPF (NO MATTER THE SEASON)’.
