The Inbetweeners’ James Buckley drank a beer with EastEnders great Danny Dyer while out on the town.
On Sunday, the 35-year-old actor shared a cosy photo from his night out with Danny, 45, on his Instagram account.
The two men cuddled up to one other on a sofa, clutching beer bottles as they posed for the charming photo that drew the attention of millions of followers.
‘How’s your weekend going?’ James said in the caption. They received a flood of replies from fans who adored their bromance.
Actor Gary Lucy replied to the image and said: ‘Ain’t no better way to start ya monday than seeing this [sic].’
One fan jokingly typed: ‘Well, your weekend looks to be Dyer, to be fair [sic].’
‘The duo I never knew I needed,’ was a further comment left under the snap.
James closed his eyes and put his head on Danny’s chest while the EastEnders star raised his drink and grinned for the camera.
The two had previously appeared together, with Danny making a cameo in one of James’ YouTube videos in 2021.
Danny intimated in a clip on the actor’s channel At Home With The Buckleys that he had tried to obtain a job for his pal, but he has since departed the BBC fixture after eight years.
Danny portrayed Mick Carter, the Queen Vic’s proprietor, and recently spoke about his departure on The Jonathan Ross Show.
He told the talk show host: ‘It’s a very emotional thing, it’s such a big part of me.
‘I tell you what it is, I’m lazy… It’s f****** hard. 30 pages you’ve got to learn a day. It’s like a film a week.
‘[But] if it goes t*** up, I can go back. I can turn up in three years’ time and walk in the Queen Vic smothered in seaweed… they (the bosses) wanted to keep it open.
‘I’m very privileged and grateful for that job. It really did change my career and my life.’
The star is preparing for the premiere of a new game show called Cheat, which will stream on Netflix.
