Warning: spoilers ahead for The Last of Us.
Two inaccuracies discovered in The Last of Us episode 6 appear to have been corrected by HBO after being flagged by social media users.
The TV programme, based on the video game series of the same name, has received wonderful reviews since its debut, with old fans and novices alike praising Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
While viewers were left in awe by the cast’s dramatic, emotionally hard-hitting performances last week, some couldn’t help but notice a handful of mistakes that were mistakenly included in the final edit.
While Joel and Ellie were going across a bridge, persons thought to be members of the film crew could be seen on the left side, and a person’s fingers could be seen below the horse Shimmer’s chin in another moment.
According to reports, HBO has fixed the mistakes in the US, and they can no longer be seen when fans go back to watch the episodes.
The humans in the backdrop of the aerial image, as well as the hand beneath the horse’s mouth, are still visible on Sky’s catch-up platform.
The Twitter account @NaughtyDogWorld, a fansite for Naughty Dog, the business that created the video game, noticed the shift.
The account uploaded screenshots of the relevant scenes, with the changes already done before of the seventh episode’s broadcast.
Some people answered by confessing that they hadn’t even realised the errors had occurred.
‘I didn’t notice either of these until i saw ppl talking about it,’ one person tweeted, while another wrote: ‘The crazy thing is I didn’t even see it the first time.’
It simply goes to show how captivating The Last of Us is that the gaffes were missed by so many people!
The forthcoming seventh episode of the series will introduce fans to Ellie’s best friend Riley (Storm Reid), as the tale delves into her background.
In The Last of Us, the earth has been destroyed by a fungal virus known as Cordyceps, which transforms people affected into terrible monsters capable of spreading the disease to others.
Ellie is immune, so Joel embarks on a perilous trip to smuggle her across the United States in the hope that she will hold the secret to a cure.
The Last of Us is available to watch on Sky and NOW, with new episodes released on Mondays.
