Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools married for the second time in the Maldives after 23 years of marriage.
The 47-year-old celebrity chef announced his wedding on Instagram with a lovely collection of photographs of himself and his family relaxing on tropical beaches.
On Easter Sunday, he shared the photos with a note explaining why the long-term couple chose to renew their vows in an island ceremony.
He penned: ‘Morning all, Me & @joolsoliver got married again !
‘Yep After 23 years together, we thought it would be a special moment to celebrate renewing our wedding vows before the kids all start leaving the nest.
‘It was really special, funny and romantic with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together.
‘It seems like a blink since the first wedding which we kept very privet apart from the paparazzi at the village church we thought it would be a happy and joyful moment to share with you all this Easter.
‘We’ve always dreamed of going to the Maldives and it was just as you would have dreamed, simply amazing !
‘a massive thank you to all the team at @discoversoneva for blowing our minds and making this moment so special and memorable big love guys Jamie oxxxxxxxxx [sic]’.
Followers were quick to give their well wishes and congrats to the couple, who share five children.
One wrote: ‘Wow, how beautiful. Looks so stunning and I bet it was such fun too. You both look so happy and all the kids too! What a wonderful memory [sic]’.
Another said: ‘couldn’t love this more Congratulations you beautiful bunch xxxx [sic]’.
‘This is the cutest!!! Huge congratulations to you both! [sic],’ was a social media user’s response to the collection of snaps.
Jamie’s children – Poppy, 20, Daisy, 19, Petal, 13, Buddy, 12, and River, 6 – were all dressed in white costumes to hear their parents say “I do” all over again.
The family was all smiles as they remembered the big occasion by posing for a series of family shots against the backdrop of a stunning blue ocean and white beach.
Jools and Jamie married for the first time in July 2000.
