Jonnie Irwin was relieved to spend time with his family despite suffering from a chest infection due to his terminal disease.
According to some adorable photographs in his newest Instagram post, the 49-year-old A Place In The Sun presenter had a fantastic day with his wife Jessica and his three boys – Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, three.
Despite admitting that he should have stayed indoors due to his condition, Jonnie went pumpkin picking with his family in time for Halloween, and taunted his wife over her ‘obsession’ with the macabre season.
‘Probs should’ve stayed inside with my chest infection but would’ve got too much FOMO missing out on visiting uncle @maccaholmes allotment,’ he wrote.
‘Sometimes I need a push and seeing the lads enjoy picking some apples, and pumpkins was superb.

Despite both the chest illness and his terminal disease, his followers have been filling the post with nice words, and some have pointed to the way he’s treating his boys to ‘wonderful memories’ to last a lifetime.
‘Filling them with so many beautiful memories that nothing can ever take away xx,’ one person replied, while another commented: ‘Such precious time with your boys❤️’
Jonnie overcame the odds after being informed he had lung cancer and just six months to live before learning the disease had moved to his brain last November.
Since then, he has claimed that he has been keen to spend as much time as possible with family, which has included jam-packed movie evenings, a Jurassic Jungle excursion, and other activities.
Fans were left cheering his new professional mood this week when he confirmed he will be returning to TV after recording several pieces for BBC’s Morning Live.
Sharing a picture of himself smiling with a member of the camera crew in the background, he wrote in his caption: ‘So good to be back filming for @bbcmorninglive.
‘We’ve just shot to short films about renovating your home and what to look out for. I think my smug smile betrays the lack of a massive commute for once and the extra couple of hours I got in my scratcher as we filmed in Newcastle Upon Tyne.’
Jonnie also stated that he will notify his fans ‘when I know’ when his portions will be released.
