Luke Worley, a Married At First Sight UK star, has reportedly been kicked from the programme for punching a co-star.
The salesperson, 30, is said to have been sacked by the show’s producers after hitting another cast member.
According to a source, Luke was fired from the famous reality dating show after getting into a fight with Jordan Gayle, which resulted in Luuke’s wife, Jay Howard, being fired as well.
While as and Jordan have not always been fans of one other, ‘no one was anticipating them to quarrel as they finally did,’ according to the insider.
They told the Mail Online ‘things got particularly heated’ between the pair during a couple’s retreat and they ‘come to blows inside Jordan’s apartment.’
The shocking incident was even caught on camera, ‘meaning there’s every chance it could be shown in the most explosive scenes ever to be aired’ on MAFS UK.
Approached for comment, a Channel 4 spokesperson said: ‘The wellbeing of cast and crew is our utmost priority at all times throughout production and beyond.
‘During filming, an altercation occurred between two cast members which was defused immediately by crew. All contributors involved were offered appropriate support.’
Luke has now replied to the allegations, revealing that he is ‘fuming’ with whoever is selling ‘spoilers’ on the programme to the media – and arguing that the event was ‘exaggerated.’
On Instagram, he called out a ‘snake in the cast’ who ‘feels the need to sell a tale and offer spoilers’ about the programme, calling them ‘desperate.’
‘I’m actually p****d off, not just for myself but for you guys at home who just want to tune in and it’s been ruined for you.’
He went on to insist that the reports are ‘exaggerated’ and ‘half that stuff is not as it seems.’
‘As soon as I’m allowed to talk about stuff, as soon as the show’s over, I’m going to be posting everything on this Instagram,’ he went on, before sending a message to whoever was leaking the stories – ‘F*** you.’
Because of the event, Luke and his wife Jay, who were hugely loved among series fans, would be removed from further episodes of the show.
And, while it’s unclear how they’ll handle their relationship if Luke’s alleged activities cause them to be sent off, they seemed to be one of the strongest couples among all of the new brides and grooms.
They would not be the first to be fired from the show this season, as Brad Skelly was fired after being accused of manipulating his wife Shona Manderson.
He retaliated against the show, claiming that he had been modified to appear as a villain.
Before the current season of Married At First Sight UK had began broadcasting, there were accusations that officials threatened to fire three candidates due to their ‘wild partying.’
As reported by the Mail Online in September, network bosses called in lawyers after a night of ‘wild partying’ shortly after the series began filming.
It prompted a legal team to write new contracts prohibiting the actors from visiting downtown London and instead requiring them to stay in Wembley for the duration of the play.
This is supposed to have enraged cast members who were not engaged in the partying and alleged ‘rule-breaking,’ claiming that management were treating them like bad children.
Married At First Sight UK continues at 9pm Monday on Channel 4.
