As she begins the adoption process, Joss Stone hopes to provide her super duper mothering love to as many children as possible.
Joss, actual name Jocelyn Stoke, shot to prominence as a teenager with a streak of top 20 songs and two albums that went triple platinum in the United Kingdom.
The British singer and songwriter, 36, is already a mother of two, but she plans to adopt ‘like, 25 babies’ in the future.
Joss and her partner Cody DaLuz have a two-year-old daughter Violet and an 11-month-old son Shackleton, and they are now through an adoption exam.
‘We’re trying to do our home study [adoption suitability test]. I hope we get to do it. I want, like, 25 kids,’ the Fell In Love With a Boy hitmaker revealed.
Speaking to Hello, she explained what home life is like and implied that her daughter may end up being just as musical as her popstar mum.
‘Violet doesn’t really care for too much else other than making art. She is obsessed with her ukulele – she runs around the house pretending to play it.’
She then recalled a recent instance in which she witnessed her two children truly connecting for the first time, just after Shackleton’s birth.
‘I saw them making each other laugh for the first time the other day, it was great,’ adding: ‘We all just want to play, really, don’t we?’
Shackleton’s delivery was especially difficult for Joss, who had to have an emergency C-section after being in labour for 30 hours.
Joss and Cody intend to leave Nashville and return to Devon, where Joss grew up, in addition to adopting future children.
She has defended their decision by stating that she wants her children to grow up in the Devonshire countryside, like she did.
Joss told The Sunday Times earlier this year that she prefers a slower pace of life and hopes that her new partner Cody would feel the same way whenever he comes.
Two Devon men were caught and imprisoned in 2011 after a plan to rob and murder Joss was discovered; she says she is now more’safety conscious’ as a result.
