Fans were taken aback when John Bishop published a series of AI-generated images that bore an uncanny similarity to a certain Essex reality star.
The 56-year-old comedian had some fun with a yearbook photo generator online and shared the results with his social media followers.
Fans couldn’t help but notice his amazing resemblance to Joey Essex, 33, when he uploaded ten photographs each depicting a different high school cliche.
He captioned the album of photos, ‘I hear there is a High school yearbook trend….someone handed me these…’I don’t think I ever looked so cool in the 1980s’.
The phoney school images revealed what the celebrity may have looked like in his youth, and his likeness to Joey piqued the interest of other celebs on the app.
Fearne Cotton, 42, was quick to note who he reminded her of and penned: ‘8 seems to be Joey Essex’.
A fan also pointed out the bizarre comparison and said: ‘Mate!!! Joey Essex anyone?’
Another social media account added: ‘7 looks like the entire cast of scooby doo rolled into one’.
The series began with a photograph of John wearing reading glasses and holding a book in his arms.
For the traditional school photograph, his AI persona wore a crimson and blue striped tie and a short-sleeved shirt.
Fearne chose a photo of the actor standing up and gazing over one shoulder while clothed in a silver windcheater shell suit jacket.
The avatar had a hairstyle that was similar to the Towie star’s characteristic look and slung an identical bag over his back.
According to the seventh shot, which was mentioned by a fan in the comments, the star’s resemblance was wearing a cream knitted roll-neck wool pullover, unkempt hair and black rimmed reading spectacles.
Another image in the collection shows John flexing his muscles while wearing black leather boxing gloves and a white no-sleeved vest.
Another yearbook photo showed what the renowned face might look like if he wore a grungier outfit.
