In a new social media update, Kate Beckinsale hinted at the cause of her recent hospitalisation.
Since March, the 50-year-old star has shared several photos of herself in a private room at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.
Despite the posts, the actress has remained private about the reason for her hospitalisation, and she has since deleted pictures on social media referencing her illness.
There has been much concern from fans and celebrity pals, with popstar Gwen Stefani commenting on a deleted post from hospital at the end of March, ‘What’s wrong!!! 🙏🏻.’
But now, a new cryptic post by the Pearl Harbour actress on Instagram sees her wearing a top emblazoned with the slogan ‘tummy troubles survivor’.
Given Kate’s recent hospitalisation, the sweet T-shirt, which featured an image of a bunny wearing a knight’s shield and armour surrounded by flowers, was slightly enigmatic.

Kate previously stated in a now-deleted comment section that she did not have ruptured ovarian cysts or endometriosis. When a fan asked about those specific ailments, she replied, ‘No’.
The actress had a ruptured ovarian cyst in 2019, which may have prompted fans to wonder if she was still suffering from it.
A source close to Kate spoke to ET about her hospital stay commenting that it wasn’t a ‘great situation.’
‘Kate hasn’t been doing or feeling well. She was supposed to go to the Vanity Fair Oscars party and had to cancel. She is doing her best to take care of herself, but it’s not a great situation.’

Upon her return home, the star shared a lighthearted post that included some of her trademark zany elements.
Her pet Pomeranian appeared in the carousel, wearing plastic little hands that represented the peace sign.
Another photo showed the star curled up in a fluffy dog bed with her fluffy white cat. In the photo, the star was wearing a pair of massive sparkly silver boot heels and a massive black bow perched atop her head.

Fans rushed to her aid, and many were overjoyed that she was now home and back on her feet.
anxmalacity commented: ‘Cute pup! And you definitely are a survivor as it says on the shirt, glad to see things looking up.’
hartleypleshaw also commented: It’s so great to see you back home and feeling better, Goddess Kate! (And please give my best to your adorable furry friend!) ❤️🤗’
Cristian Coser Photography also wished her well: ‘Welcome back! Glad to see you back on! Hope all is well!’
